You can cash any unexpired months of a tax disc in for any reason, and get a full refund. Except you don't get back the 10% premium you pay for a six month disc.0 -

3.7 Litre Petrol, 298 g/km, registered 1st Match 2001 so despite the high emissions is taxed as band K0 -
Should be £260 a year Land Rover Freelander 2.
But NIL tax as it is classed as a disability vehicle.0 -

That's a false economy. The immediate issue is that the 6 month disc costs more. But you lose again when getting rid:
When the car is disposed, you would apply for a refund on the tax disc whether 6 or 12 months. However a 6 month disc is refunded at the cheaper 12 month rate.0
