How much car tax do you pay?

Having just renewed my car tax i paid £143 for 6 months :mad: on a 1.8 51 plate astra. This is an are i must improve in. How much do you pay and on what car/ year please.

Why worry about the cost of VED?

It's peanuts in comparison to other motoring costs.........

You could buy a £400 VED car and still be better off than with a £30 VED car IF you have more than 1 brain cell...........

My 320D M-Sport BMW is £125 a year.

But the latest 320D equivalent car is only £30 a year.

£30 a year in my Golf 1.6 TDI.

Wifie pays £220 ish for a year in her BMW z4 2.0 Turbo.

She was previous paying £460 or so in her Subaru Turbo which was a bit painful but then it did have the power to match.

£120 for 12 months last March (on an 8 year old diesel Octavia). But as mentioned above this is one of many motoring costs - look at the whole picture if cost saving is the aim.
