Just thought i'd drop a message by to give you all an update...

I phoned DWP/PIP today for an update and was told it was with the Case Manager, but my medical report was not back from ATOS yet. I then called ATOS to see if they could shed any light, and was told it was sent back to the DWP via courier on the 27th September... So almost a week ago, but it can take 2 weeks to show on the system apparently, so i'll give them until next Friday then give 'em hell if I haven't heard anything ;-).

Hope everybody else hears soon... Hopefully sooner than it's taken me!

Crikey so nearly five months and you should find out hope its good news for you and I will let you all know bought mine probs in about feb next year then lol good amount of back pay tho if we get the right decision.

Just another update for you guys.
Still waiting!
My claim is with the case manager (decision maker), and has been there since the 3rd October. Have been told that there is no time frame on this, and they will be dealt with in date order so could be any time. Get told different different things off each advisor to be honest.. One said it won't be longer than another week on Monday, but called again today and was told there is no time frame, could take days could take months. I wasn't very happy when she told me this! 22 weeks is far too long to be waiting for a decision in my opinion, they really need to pull their fingers out with this new PIP!

Update from me, my claim is finally sorted, just over 21 weeks later. I contacted my mp a few weeks ago about it as i was ending up more ill from not knowing the outcome, and atos sent my claim back to dwp monday, they recieved it tuesday, decision made wednesay and the lady at dwp dealing with my claim rang thursday to say i was sucessful and a letter had been sent out.

I think we may need to go down the MP route with my OHs claim, as I work they believe that there is no rush. Erm there is OH cannot bring in any money and we have to pay for prescriptions, getting to and from appointments its a nightmare.

Lupylucy glad you finally got sorted. Makes me angry that we are all having to wait so long for a decision it doesn't help our situations at all. Mellymoo 74 yes we should all go down the MP route I think on with mine now. Im in same situation travel to hospitals and prescriptions I cant claim anything either so financially really struggling. Mines only been 8 weeks so I am in for long haul. I emailed ATOS and mine is going through the 'scrutiny process' to see if I need a medical or not but am going to keep contacting them good luck to everyone.

Loopy lucy, fingers crossed I'll hear something soon as you claimed shortly before me didn't you?
I really wish I had contacted my MP long before now as it seems a bit late in the day to do it when it's with the case manager! It's a total farse, and I believe it's making a lot of our health problems worse with the stress. I can't understand how they can get away with dragging it on so long when the benefit is for people who already have illnesses, and really don't need the hassle and stress this causes! Something definitely needs to be done.
Lucy, are you able to tell me if they called from a withheld number or did it come up with the number? Just I don't usually answer to unknown callers, but if they are calling with the decision I would like to have answered that call haha!!
