    Hello,

Just UHT milk and cream (coupon used) purchased today. Still a good chance of staying under £65!

Well I am trying to reign in! Last post was £136.29 and now, with £35.93 in Lidl, £7.36 in Asda and £3.24 in Morrisons we are up to £182.82 and half way through the month. I am going to aim for £30 for the next two shops, and since I have lots of meat in the freezer and only need veg, milk and eggs I think it is do-able. Fingers crossed x

Sorry not to have posted for a while - we have spent most of the last week at my sister's - which is the only reason I can say I am just within spend again this month. She wouldn't let me buy groceries, although we took loads of meat with us, also emptied the freezer and cupboard of perishables, including eggs, and bought a couple of meals out (the latter from a separate budget!!)

Since the last post I have spent £13.73 in Waitrose (including a YS duck for a treat) £8.80 in tesco, £12.69 in Morrisons (including the very good value £3 turkey leg) £16.49 on dog food and £13.92 in Aldi Giving a grand total of £248.82/250

I still really struggle with this - I would have gone over this month if I hadn't visited sis. I am going to make an up to date list of food in cupboards and freezer before shopping, I am going to meal plan more, be satisfied with more ordinary meals in the week, eat more pulses and vegetarian meals, and especially now I have them, review all my receipts to see where the money has gone in the last two months!

One difficulty is the pre-diabetes - we don't eat bread, pasta, filling puddings etc. Also we are at home, so it is 3 meals a day for two :-)

£1.83 spent yesterday on hand wash and children's plasters. I've done a £38 shop with asda but it's not arrived yet so I'll update when it does.

  • £5.30 in Mr T today on fruit, butter & paper. That's all I went in for and all I came out with! Hoping for a NSD tomorrow (perhaps just a paper for 65p).

Well October has basically been a write-off due to me struggling to keep track! I think I finished the month £14 under my adjusted budget though, so pleased with that :-) also despite losing track of the number of NSDs I have had, I know I had more than last month, so also pleased with that! Hoping to keep on top of things better next month! So, declaring at £236/ £250! See you in November!

The asda shop was £38.13 which takes me over budget but I won't buy anything else this week.

I had to use up some stuff so we had sausages, sugar snap peas and gnocchi, tomato, veg andmozzarella bake
