  • £35 ish over so far with shop tomorrow due which was £40.41 - £5 e-voucher due to mealdeal botch up. I would have left this order but kids are off school plus I now have £5 off the next shop.

Shopping was a bit less, so i can deduct a bit back; but still over.

Now my feet have hit the ground from starting work, i am going to suss out a meal plan so we can hopefully muddle through without spending til we are in November. I can pick up some bargains when i am next in work, as no rushing back for school, so that means i can nip in Mr A, Mr T, Lidl and B&M. Meaning i can take advantage of just offers/bargains/YS instead of having to do a £40 shop. Will only be able to do that this week though, as the other times it'll be back to general rushing around. Will amend sig but won't declare just yet ... as you just never know!

Gosh, October has proved robe a long and expensive month. Despite starting the month eating out of the freezer, we have still had to up the budget back up to the same as last month - £250! However, we do still have £23.85 left of the budget. So doing better than last month and I have very little left to buy! Note to self, don't try to run before you can walk!

Hopefully last shop of month but not positive :rotfl:

    Al*i today was £ 19.35
    Mr T today was £ 15.60

so total was £ 34.95 and I have upped my totals.

Bargain in Mr T - stewing steak was YS'd and so I bought 4 packs saving £ 2.01 a pack and then, mysteriously, got another £ 2.00 off them at the till so = 1.60 kgs of beef for £ 5.96 :jWas straight in slow cooker when I got home and it will make at least 6 portions of casserole.

I KNOW I wasn't buying new supplies and living out the freezer but I couldn't put them back down when I saw the price :rotfl:

Oh guys, I just can't seem to keep up with this challenge...spending always seems to get out of control. Going to employ some new strategies for November to try and do this properly!

I've been away for a few days and not spent on groceries, paid 79p for a loaf in the Spar today (was in there sending eBay items at post office counter.)

That puts me at £201ish, very pleased with that and want to get to end of month spending bare minimum, have called off shopping tonight.
