  • I popped to Aldi this morning and went a bit mad not entirely sticking to my list but even then I only spent £61.67 on our weekly shop. Will update signature in a minute. We only have 1 more weekly shop to do and any top ups so we might just do it this month. Might have that as my epitaph - we might just do it this month! Famous last words!
Is it me or is everyone's Aldi starting to stock more variety? I think as their customer base is growing so is their product range. I don't think we've had a bad thing from there, ever and as the weeks go by, trying new products, we're buying less and less from mr s.
I've made another loaf of bread again this morning and we're having sausage casserole with mash and veg tonight followed by some mini Victoria sponges I made last night (it stuck to the tin -a first- so I used my pastry cutter to make mini ones and with the leftovers I've made a mandarin trifle for tomorrow)
Rather belated but congratulations K9 on the job x

Really impressed. how creative, mini sponges AND a trifle.Whenever I had a disaster sponge I just covered in custard and called it baked sponge Pud.

Well I am trying to reign in! Last post was £136.29 and now, with £35.93 in Lidl, £7.36 in Asda and £3.24 in Morrisons we are up to £182.82 and half way through the month. I am going to aim for £30 for the next two shops, and since I have lots of meat in the freezer and only need veg, milk and eggs I think it is do-able. Fingers crossed x

Ohh!!! I do like it when there are offers on baking stuff!! I'm heading to Mr T's tomorrow so will have a jiggle of my shopping list so I can get some baking stuff :) Would have just ended up spending extra when I saw it, so you've probably saved me some money. Thanks!! :T

  • Hi all and thanks for belated congrats Peggy.

Been in about 45 mins from my HTC little worm trial. Did 6-8 and it was like riding a bike. Everythjng came back to me. I really enjoyed myself, which is obviously a plus point.

Had some little spends today. Will update tomorrow. I'm too tired tonight, and only just finished my tea and just chilling before bed.
