  • I seem to get nothing done fast!
Popped to sports direct this morning. It didn't open till 10 because they were doing a stock take. But I had no idea what time it would open as there was nothing on the door. So I had a Costa & a wander around Next/Choice/mothercare & Boots. Also went in M&S & managed to resist buying any treats.

I have sorted the clothes. And done half hour on the wii fit.

Need to Hoover before I pick up small child from school.

    Afternoon all,
crazy day at the paid stuff, tried and catch up with the thread but lost track of who said what!
Happy birthday to everyone, cake all round! Happy anniversary too.

Didn't get as much done last night as had hoped, ended up watching the football with the BF who was very happy to see his team hand out a thrashing (for a change!).
Off to the solicitor for my actual appt after last weeks oopsie to sign the final purchase forms for the house. Should also have the chap coming to do the PAT testing for the flat, though he's not confirmed so am 50/50 if he'll show.
Hopefully have a more productive evening!

    Hugs to those who need

Happy Birthday Valli, rosyq and Juliejim

Hapy Anniversary Mr & Mrs CY.
thanks for all your kind wishes - O/H is back home. Op was a success. Arm is just in a sling:eek::eek::eek:.

No movement of the elbow for at least 2 weeks.

No straightening the arm for at least 6 weeks....

It's going to be a tough autumn...
Oh NOOOOO!! It's not his pint-lifting arm, is it?:D

Re dressing - is he amenable to you helping him?:o I have to have assistance from Mr LW; we allow a decent amount of time and try to keep it light-hearted (I get depressed at not being able to dress myself, otherwise). Try and stick to shirts and t-shirts with good wide sleeves for now. But you've probably worked that out already.:o

I wouldn't make cherry jam (not again, too many stones), but I would make cherry jelly.
I stone the little beasties first, and put the stones in a sewn-up sleeve off one of Mr LW's old shirts. It's worth it cos we both love cherry jam.;)

I'm ahead with the dusting - bearing in mind I can't access part of the spare room, with the dogs' clobber in there; they brought a very large rucksack with all their belongings, and four separate carrier bags with their meals in; and they're the only dogs I know who have separate breakfast and dinner bowls:D, but I fear I'm not doing too well with the Personal Challenge this week. Just not enough time, with being outside with the dogs for a good hour and a half each day.:o

Talking of which, Cassie is looking at me significantly, and doubtless Bailey will want to go outside too, once I get up and pick up the tennis racket and balls.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Today is our 26th wedding anniversary.

Hope you have a lovely day. It is our 21st Wedding Anniversary today but Mr Dusty is still working in the US so no celebrating here:( I have to be a Governor on duty at the school anyhow. I have treated us to a new bed sheet from Dunelm as when I went to take ours off the bed not only is it threadbare it now has a whole in it.

    Loads of boring stuff done
    Washed cat bedding
    Took stuff to the dump
    Popped into Mr A
    Took stuff back to primarni
    Took stuff back to homeb@se

Going to hoover the LR before boys get home from school and want to watch tv.

  • Hope the birthday flyers are having good days and congrats to Mr and Mrs CY.

Not having a good day today. Gs here this morning but I'm not feeling well. Had a uti about 5 weeks ago. Took pills as prescribed but don't think it's gone. Feeling absolutely exhausted so am opting out for the day and have dr appointment later. Hoping for more oomph tomorrow.

Gosh what a lot of birthdays and anniversaries - seems to be 2nd peak after April when I recall a lot of people were around the same time as me.

Managed washing up before gym, including putting bits of juicer in to soak - these appliances are lovely (had gorgeous home made apple juice yesterday) but a nightmare to clean all the bits up.
    Gym 2 classes.
    Emptied compost and cleaned bins.
    Cleaned aforementioned juicer.
    Done a few surveys.
    Went to Mr T.

    Spent ages on internet last night sorting out MIL's house contents insurance :mad: so only managed a bit of photo-sorting. So priority for the rest of the day, bearing in mind we've visitors for evening meal tomorrow who have asked to see photos (but not the 2000 we took :eek:);
    sort remaining photos
organise food at least mentally so I know what I'm doing
tidy, clean and hoover any room visitors are likely to go in!
also need to make cakes tomorrow which a friend asked me to make for her Cancer Research sale on Saturday.

That should take me - gulp - a while. If I naughtily boycott gym tomorrow I may stand some chance of achieving it :(
