    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday Flyladies!! :bdaycake:

Hope you all have a lovely day, Happy Birthday to Vallis DS for yesterday also... Well done on cutting those apron strings Valli. I think that will be my biggest problem when the time comes for me... DS told me that hes never leaving home and going to live with me for forever... (Bless him, he is only 11 just now mind -- Im sure his opinion will change!)

Dodgy hugs :grouphug: for Bossy and CY - and everyone else who needs. And I hope some of the resident flybabies have been good and let mummies get some sleep.

I have no flybaby here and nothing exciting to report, but feel absolutely washed out and exhausted. So Im not sure how much flying I shall get done this morning! I have to be at the hospital by 1pm, but thankfully my simulated patients today are of the mechanical variety, that said, they can be more troublesome that real ones! Simulated babies have usually been programmed by someone mean :p

Chilli has been prepped to be slung in the SC at lunchtime when I leave, so at least that's one thing off my list already

Love hugs sticks spoons and coffees for those who need

    Jo xx

  • Ionafan - well he can move his arm at the shoulder, just not at the elbow. Still dressing and undressing are still a challenge! If he was in a pot it might be easier - he's just in a sling and has been told not to move it.

Sleeping was difficult - for both of us. I feel like I did when DS was a baby and sleep came in 2 hour bursts.

Happy Birthday to Valli, Rosy and Juliejim.... Today is our 26th wedding anniversary. Last year I spent it helping DD1 in and out of bed after her surgery.... this is starting to feel like groundhog Day!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
  • happy anniversary to mr and mrs CY, hope you get a better nights sleep tonight both and i hope his arm is less painful soon. difficult not to move it when its just in a sling isnt it.

I have been very bad and not flown yesterday, I shall make up for it today, I was feeling quite manic after not being able to sleep on Tuesday night and just couldn't concentrate enough to do anything yesterday. The hormones also started to play me up and OH came home to a rather neurotic pregnant women who then burst into tears! Joy!!! In the office today, but have already done the books for my personal challenge update. Yay :)

Right, off to strip the bed before peeing in a pot for the MW at 9am :)

I now need new advice about newborns that won't sleep in their Moses baskets. We were fine but now she has developed sniffles she seems unable to breath when in the basket. Yet is perfectly fine in my bed. Is this just a ploy?

    Washing up done.

It isn't a ploy.. they think they are a part of you and you are them for the first 9 months or so (when the separation issues start) You are their food and their security and they are bonded to you like they will never be anyone else. They feel safe and warm and loved with you.

Have you tried swaddling or a sleeping bag so the transition between your warmth and her bed isn't so great?

I found the best way to not have them sleep with me is to sit up to feed them.. otherwise I am asleep in seconds of starting to feed and they stay in my bed.

Delilah only fed at 4:30 last night though and was transferred back to her bed at 7:30 when I got up.

That's brilliant, i wounder if my sons will be in the same situation Ds1 was born 11/9/11 ds2 was born 26/12/12 hhhhmmmm

DS2 shares my birthday. Your 2 will be in consecutive years :D

Mine are great.. Squeak is 2010 and Dot is 13 months younger but they will be 2 years apart due to being August and September. Dot and Delilah however are 23 months apart yet will be in consecutive years due to again being September and August.

    Happy Birthday Flyladies! :D

Happy Anniversary to CY & hubby. :D

That 45mins ironing turned into a full hour. I now have clean & ironed clothes, and have made a start on DDs pile. I'll finish it off later as she needs extra uniform this week. She's got to go into school in full uniform on Saturday for a whole hour. She's not happy, especially at the "be here for 9am" instructions :rotfl: That on top of her having to be in for 8am every day this week as she's been involved in doing assemblies every morning due to a 'charities club' she's in I think she should just go live at school.

Gulped down a cuppa. Now off to go get those books. I put over 150 out (I normally put out 45) so here's hoping I get more back than usual or my 60 hour work week last week was a waste!
