I now need new advice about newborns that won't sleep in their Moses baskets. We were fine but now she has developed sniffles she seems unable to breath when in the basket. Yet is perfectly fine in my bed. Is this just a ploy?

    Washing up done.

Morning, well baby had me up at 3.30 and decided it was morning!!! Gigs bossy for such an emotional day yesterday but really well done for holding it together. Hugs dusty sounds like you're having a bit of a time of it already. Loooove the baby pics, baby May is not a tiny baby any more so already get broody at weany ones. I'd really like to have 2 more but OH really doesn't want any more :(

Not sure what to suggest re sleeping, my little one was just naughty and wanted to be held all the time, sleep or awake!!!

As for tidying, I managed to make 6 jars of jam yesterday, unload and reload dishwasher, wipe worktops, dust downstairs, tidy toys from lounge and dining room, change about a million nappies and do some washing. Managed to get to a fitness class but god my legs hurt now!!! Ended up rehashing an application form for a family member too, so didn't get much time. I'm at work all day today, will make the babies dinner when I get home, stick them in the bath, then list a couple of bits on ebay. Going to have to have an early night, am exhausted already :(

They will be in consecutive school years, mine are another year apart as DD was 5 days late  and arrived 4th Sept.

Does she sleep on her side? (Yes, I know, on their backs, feet to foot etc but that never worked for DD) I found DD could always breathe easier if on her side. And, when nursing during the night, I used to send DH to warm a hot water bottle. It would go in her basket to keep it warm. Then I'd plonk her in, remove said bottle and put it under my feet ;) stopped her feeling the shock of a cold bed after cuddling up to me...

Not much sleep last night. Will be calling on my patience reserves today. But, :coffee: slurped, and upstairs washing put away / general tidy done. Will go for a shower in a mo, expect workmen could be here in half an hour or so...

    Happy Birthday Valli and Rosyq!

Special (((hugs))) to all who need them today - seems like there's a lot of flyladies going through a hard time atm.

CY, how on earth is your husband supposed to get dressed without moving his arm? Perhaps you'll just have to drape him in a toga! :rotfl: Healing vibes coming his way.

DS1, DDiL1 and DGDs came for tea yesterday. Poor DGD1 still has an up-and-down temperature but was happy with her birthday presents and 3 balloons, and even managed to eat some lasagne followed by jelly :) while DGD2 munched her way through huge portions for an only-just-1-year-old!

Today we have the electrician and carpenter coming at 8.00 and someone to fit a cowl on the chimney at some point in the morning. More progress :j I'm hoping that we shall have the revamped airing cupboard with its new door ready to paint early tomorrow, so that I can get all the bedclothes and towels out of the bath where I dumped them yesterday. NB, we do have a separate shower

    Must dash........ See you later!
  • Good morning all.
I will catch up with the thread later.
I got nothing done yesterday. Met up with a friend for coffee. Then met up with a friend for lunch.
Then my mojo was gone when I was home.

Today I need to clean the fish tank, sort washing & do ironing & go through what I haven't done on the lists.

    Huge hugs to all.

I'm doing paid stuff today. Just collecting books that have been left out this morning. I'm hoping I get a few more customers otherwise I'm going to be spending next week working my way through the "up your income" forum :(

However, now I've finished my breakfast, I'm going to get some ironing done. I have an hour before I need to go out to work, so about 45mins of ironing should make a good dent in it ;)

I'll look at the lists at lunch time, when in theory I'll be finished until this evening. Off to find something to watch and get some clean clothes for me ironed :o
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    Morning all

Happy Birthday Valli, Rosy and I think JulieJim if my rubbish memory is correct. I hope you all have a lovely day.

DS3 away to school for the first time on his own, DS2 going in later on Thursday's from now on.

I need to pop up to the next town to do loads of chores today and have Open Evening at Governor School tonight so hope to fly in between. One of my BFs is visiting my friend this morning so she can give me the low down later and I don't need to worry for the morning.

Deco hugest of hugs for you and your friend and also your Nan and Grandad x
