Well I have worked on my Toots List this am, sat at the laptop and made it easy for myself... Debts/paperwork/shredding etc. Currently feel as though Im getting nowhere fast though :rotfl:.
Off to put away some dry dishes and think the WM is finished so will hang up some wet stuff.Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Morning all. Slept like a log last night, I was shattered!
Happy birthday Valli, Rosyq and Juliejim.
Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Cy.
I crossed another item from Toots list last night and cleaned out the main TD filter. It was bogging. I'm now 42p better off. I need to clean the shower tray now as I covered the plug hole with a flannel to stop the drain getting blocked but a lot of the fluff has stayed on the tray.
DD can be collected at 1pm today so will get on and finish the undercoating of the banisters.
Cross with DH as he did tea last night and I am fed up of having to completely clean the kitchen after he has been in it. The sink is disgusting when he goes anywhere near it . Never mind, he has to do painting tonight and tomorrow night and at the weekend.

No flying achieved other than cleaning the sink this morning (hangs head in shame)
That's 100% more than I get done some days. And I gave up shame for lent some years ago and the world didn't stop turning. Go easy on yourself.
Happy birthday Valli, Rosyq and JulieJim, and Happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs CY.
*patience vibes* for Bossy.
(((Hugs))) for Deco.
Mrs Dog is being dunked, clipped and stripped today at the Doggy Boudoir so she will be well and truly flown but luckily for her not be amateurish me. (I used to do the working dogs on the farm many years ago when their undercarriages were clogged up in the winters. Never, ever again.) I was going to take her for a run on the beach beforehand so it wouldn't matter that her coat was full of salt, but the tides in, so there's no point. Next decision is: Do I come home, waste three hours not settling to anything and then go and pick her up, or do I spent those three hours trawling CSs and reading cookery books in the library. No brainer really, isn't it.
The house looks really good. Better than it ever has, truth be told. This is all thanks to this thread and everyone who contributes to it. Thank you.Better is good enough.0 -
Does she sleep on her side? (Yes, I know, on their backs, feet to foot etc but that never worked for DD) I found DD could always breathe easier if on her side. And, when nursing during the night, I used to send DH to warm a hot water bottle. It would go in her basket to keep it warm. Then I'd plonk her in, remove said bottle and put it under my feetstopped her feeling the shock of a cold bed after cuddling up to me...
Last night she started in my bed and I thought the same to put her on her side. She kept panicking when everything was at the back of her throat. So had her on her side and held her there lol incase she rolled over. I put nothing past her after being able to hold her head at 2 days old. I did a water bottle in the first week as I was convinced it was cold - think I will restart that tonight. It isn't a ploy.. they think they are a part of you and you are them for the first 9 months or so (when the separation issues start) You are their food and their security and they are bonded to you like they will never be anyone else. They feel safe and warm and loved with you.
Have you tried swaddling or a sleeping bag so the transition between your warmth and her bed isn't so great?
I found the best way to not have them sleep with me is to sit up to feed them.. otherwise I am asleep in seconds of starting to feed and they stay in my bed.
We half swaddle, arms not included as she was far from impressed by that. Very true on the being a part of me though. Bless them so little and helpless.
She ended up in the basket after feed 2 and 3, after she decided to continue a poo mid change.
On a good point it meant I did a wash load at 6am this morning, along with the washing up.0 -

Happy birthday Valli, Rosyq and JulieJim
Happy anniversary mr and mrs CY
Hope you all have lovely days!
We have come up to my mums as kiddies can't get out in the garden at home. More insulation has arrived today and I believe plasterboard will make an appearance too :T I asked him to move the lights as he did say I didn't have to decide yet but he's positioned them one on each slope  I think they will look better 2 each on the wider sides and will be more square that way. He said it was ok - but he really should have asked first...
Looking forward to the weekend when I can have my house back
Feels a bit odd sitting here doing nothing... Mum is pottering, DS is watching YouTube videos and DD is doing some sticking / collage pictures.
Might see if I can fInd a nice new rug online.
Mum is also looking for royal blue cotton yarn, she said she will knit DS a school tank top as I can't find any that aren't acrylic...Bossymoo
