Bossy big hugs sweetie, you are doing brilliantly, I hope tomorrow is easier.

I've hoovered and mopped so just letting it dry before washing up.

  • Hugs to Bossy. Horrid thing to happen.

Not sure I've achieved much today. Haven't touched the bedroom but I gave it a clean over the weekend. Had gs this morning so just fed the wm and built a marble run, but that wasn't on the list!

After he left with his dad managed to get some garden clearing and planting done, (think I could do with a flylady list for the garden - a sort of greenfly lady -or perhaps not!). I did the dailies and wrote up minutes of yesterday's meeting. Apart from a bit of cooking, clearing some bits in the loft and ironing that was it.

That cupboard under the sink in the kitchen is still calling me and so is the one in the ute room...........maybe tomorrow.

PS Love the pics of the baby. Even my long dormant overies gave a little twitch as well. Don't think the maternal thing ever goes away.
  • House looking ok and we have more baby fish. Youngest had a second school visit and all went ok. Tomorrow his teacher is visiting at home and I've bossed hubby to Hoover upstairs in the morning and I'll be moping downstairs and putting shopping delivery away and studying

Thanks guys, it was just bad luck, we used them 6yrs ago as DH needed specialist cover due to his childhood medical record. When it came to claim I did it direct rather than through the broker so they didn't know. Just doing their jobs I suppose but it was really bad timing from my point of view.

The good news is, I have pulled myself up by the brastraps  (again) and gave myself a pat on the back, as my setback was just a couple of hours rather than days (or weeks :o) so that is progress for you. As annoying as it is, the old saying "time heals" really is true :o

    Normal service is resumed :D

  • thanks for all your kind wishes - O/H is back home. Op was a success. Arm is just in a sling:eek::eek::eek:.

No movement of the elbow for at least 2 weeks.

No straightening the arm for at least 6 weeks....

It's going to be a tough autumn...

Thanks for the good wishes for DS. he doesn't appear to be missing me at all ;)

He was a really clingy boy at one time, and had major separation anxiety so I am pleased to have cut the apron strings *snip* because that's my job done, properly;)

Thifty - see PenPen has stepped up to the mark. I wouldn't make cherry jam (not again, too many stones), but I would make cherry jelly. The main thing is to get it to a rolling boil for about 10 minutes;) The Preserver's Year is an excellent thread! Primary BTW - and all the way from reception to Y6!

I have made Tarte Tatin au Poires (ooh get me) because there were pears. I shall take it into work tomorrow for my birthday *share* I had planned to take something Monday, when we have INSET (for which I am being paid *kerching*) but there are two of us with birthdays this week at work, so we get all caked/goodied out anyway IYSWIM

Went to Morries (for the puff pastry) and got 2 small caulies for 19p each (they will keep in the fridge; cauliflower cheese for me and DD - yes the caulies were small) and 8 organic satsumas for 19p. It would have been rude not to!
