I have ironed, cleaned the kitchen, wiped over the bathroom and cooked dinner.

Fizzwhizz, DD's drawers are always like that. Going up when she gets back from creative club as I can't fit in what I have just ironed!!!

You've cheered me up immensely with your reference about not mentioning the war! Hope it goes well - our French exchange was an unmitigated disaster!

Glad to be of service ;) and continued ~get well~ vibes for Mr CY.:eek: at your exchange

Every item in there had been ironed already. On inspection, DD's and DSS's aren't much better. Am I ironing for any of them ever again? Not a chance.

They look like malm drawers from the Swedish shop. The contents look rather like SW5's as well! These and my laziness are reasons not too iron PLUS it is reducing my carbon foot print ;)

Having said that I have ironed some stuff today, you lot are a bad influence on me :p

Meeting decluttered as well so a productive day.

    Cute babies, thanks for sharing

Good spot! We all have the same Malms in various colour and size combinations, I think they offer a huge amount of storage for the size of the chest. Although after today I'm not sure that's a good thing, I might just get shot and chuck all their clothes in a heap on the floor. This is a "second" home for all three of them so there really is no need for them to have this much carp here all the time.

toochoosey, I'm sorry to read you're suffering a similar plight. If any if the guilty parties were here tonight they'd be getting the hair dryer from me

I would never be as mental as to say I enjoy ironing but I do get a sense of achievement from seeing the bottom of the basket.

Chicken is cooked, had to resist the urge to pick the garlicky crispy skin off and eat it there and then. DSes have chosen stir fry veg and noodles to accompany which is fine by me.

ETA: Resolve failed. Ate far too much skin, feel a bit sick now.

Someone in the flat upstairs is playing a very upbeat tune on the piano. I feel as though I am starring in my very own silent movie :rotfl:

I think the jam has set so I've jarred it up. Looks ok but we shall see. Going to do some cherry tomorrow and I won't be doubling the recipe this time :)
Valli- have you ever cooked your fruit from frozen?

Best not to scale up recipes - it takes longer for the jam to come to the boil, so the fruit cooks longer, and the colour isn't usually so good.

I've made jam with frozen fruit, and it works fine :)

I've picked loads of plums (to give away) and damsons - made into damson gin  I have cherries in the freezer which will be made into cherry brandy later

Off to check my list, then choir this evening :j:j:j:j

Oh poop. I don't seem to be getting very far very fast. Got caught up researching stuff.

Tea is made, hoping to get an extra 2 (or 3) portions of sauce for the freezer ;) DD is just having a bath and then I'll go put the pasta on. She went to Mr T by school on the way home instead of Mr A. I think I need to find her a card fob if she'd rather do that ;)

Right, lets race DD and see how much I can get done in the time it takes her to have a bath!

Another stressful day with my friend so I've achieved little and have been distracted.

    I have:
got keys cut to give a set to my friend
    washed towels
    taken bike to be serviced
dropped a chair at the CS
dropped some books at the ox bookstore
taken a parcel to the post office
taken a jumper back to the shop
    S&S'd toilets and sinks

I need to hoover and mop at least but not really in the mood.

Paid stuff finished for week. Phew. Been a hectic one...

Managed to fly a little but feels upside down here with construction still going on. Plasterer coming tomorrow. And I have working lights :T there is no ceiling yet but I have lights lol. They are just dangling from the rafters... But the external is looking good, ridge tiles almost done and guttering in place. Few bits for them to finish off in morning but I'm really pleased so far.

They have said they will come back after I've painted and refit my blinds for me :A and mentioned they have someone who will paint ceilings so I'm going to ask about that - ill never get it done whilst the kids are around...

Speaking of whom, I'm being called... :o

Thanks Penpen, shame I can't remember if I weighed it the fruit before I put it in freezer bags! Think I'll have to fetch it out of the freezer tonight so I can weigh it tomorrow.
I'm not convinced today's batch has set as it looks very liquid when I swish a jar about, oh well lesson learnt!
