Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Bathroom done
Front and back doorsteps and mats washed/cleaned
    Baking done
Dyeing done (what is it about navy that it fades so quickly?)
    Vac'ed all through
    Garden weeded

Enough for one day, in fact for a week as I have a friend coming to stay today and we'll be far too busy having fun to think of being a slave to housework! Plenty of time when she leaves again

Have a good rest of the day :)

    So far today I have
    • Gathered laundry from all baskets
    • filled WM
    • Put away dry dishes
    • Washed more
    • Put hot water back on
    • Made my bed
    • Put away some dry laundry in my room
    • flung a few things in the bin
    • fought the dog for the post....
I think that's it so far.

Best make a start on the uni work now ;)

Ditto from me! Impersonal I know, but I really need to keep plugging away at my monster lists and not get sidetracked by the much more interesting 'socialising'.

    So far today:
    - making steady progress on office. Bit of a hassle when I flicked duster over a high shelf; I expected dust but this was......what's a lot more substantial than dust.....needed to get Hoover out.
    - dissected plums (collected huge amounts of windfall apples from garden yesterday, and a fair few plums). I must put on my list to investigate cause/remedy for the manky ones that go mouldy on the tree. I try to be reasonably organic, but the nice parts of the plums are so scrumptious it will be worth getting some nasty chemical to get a better crop next year.
    - one lot of washing on line
    - dw emptied

At least I can still move - am returning gradually to the pre-holiday exercise level, so after body pump on Mon eve then 2 zumba and one 'ballet fit' yesterday, I was shattered for much of yesterday afternoon!
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

    Hi all

    Hope CY's DH is ok.

    Hoppy Birdday to the Vallilad.

I revamped and updated my Toots list, as it's not practical to try and actually do the tasks on it while I have two large, energetic, demanding and extremely nosey canines in residence.

Poor old Mrs Dog thought she should have been allowed to come with us. She felt strongly enough about the matter to turn the kitchen bin over and strew the contents over the floor I washed yesterday.

Little bit of training and reassurance needed I think.
Maybe she's channelling Candy the Westie - every time she stayed, I had to put the kitchen bin out in the hall overnight.

I have deposited DS at school and taken the dog on a walk/jog along the Tay. Fusspot animal had decided to turn his nose up at his breakfast, clearly holding out for something better than his biscuits so he has been ignored for 30 mins while Ive caught up on the thread.

Said animal is now finally eating his breakfast.... Blimey, I thought DS was fussy. ;)
They won't let themselves starve - he was obviously trying it on.;)

Meal times with these two are quite a game; they both need "tables" to eat off, so there's an upturned crate in the kitchen with their water dish, and that doubles as Bailey's table; Cassie has an upturned cardboard box in the hall. They have to be fed apart as Cassie wolfs hers down and will try for Bailey's, as he's a slow eater. They have different food, too; Bailey has what looks a bit like all bran mixed with his, as his digestion is delicate. Luckily their owners send their food pre-measured in little bags, labelled up with the dog's name and whether it's breakfast or dinner.:o

    FizzWhizz O! M!! G!!! I'm speechless.

Poohbear could the dogs have sneakily eaten something unpleasant whilst out for walkies? I have to hover behind Bailey with a poo-bag, because Cassie, dirty little mare, is a poo-eater._pale_ Hope their tums are better soon.:o

WM has been on, and I've hand-washed my red dress. Also, I've got vinegar in the loo again as the limescale is making a bid to return (the joys of hard water).

I have to renew my driving license today, too, as the photo is 10 years old. I was dithering over whether to bother, or just turn the license in, as I never seem to get chance to drive these days, but Mr LW said to renew it.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Bathroom and shower room both sparkley, Mrs Dog walked and more blackberries picked, lunch of homemade bread, homemade chutney and cheese pudding scoffed.

I'm going to type up a few recipes, make one phone call and then ... drum roll ... spend the rest of the day on my Challenge.
    Better is good enough.
  • LW, I wish it had only been 'OMG' which escaped my lips when I opened the drawer.

Just finished bleaching the bathroom grout, will have to buy a new scrubbing toothbrush as my old one is on its last bristles.

Dailies done. WM almost full, just waiting for DS1 to get home as he has had football today and I suspect his kit will need to go in. He is not a sporty kid at all but nevertheless, gets filthy while avoiding the ball. I am actually terrified of him having to play rugby, he weighs about 5 stone dripping wet, despite being 5'6"

I bought chicken legs for dinner but now I cannot think of anything to do with them. Recipe searches aren't helping, I'm just having an indecisive day. I think I need bossed.

My poorly girl has been crashed on the sofa for 3 hours!!! Do I wake her or leave her?
