  • Gorgeous babies!

I've had a boiling shower this morning -- rubber gasket in the steam generator perished and turned into a sprinkler system of steam and hot water :( Managed to get it switched off and mopped up without burning myself too badly, my hands are covered in red dots though, I'll slather myself in sudocrem shortly.

Gasket replaced and ironing done. My ironing pile will be reduced by 3/7ths henceforth. I don't put ironing away for DD, DSD or DSS as they're plenty big enough to do it themselves, I just leave it on their beds. But DSD hadn't done hers on Monday  and it was becoming a leaning tower so I opened her drawers. This is what I found:

Every item in there had been ironed already. On inspection, DD's and DSS's aren't much better. Am I ironing for any of them ever again? Not a chance.

And also for Valli, *absent DS birthday celebrating vibes*

Way to go Ionafan and Mr I!

    Skint, I loved the slippers.

Jazee, I thought about putting the bin on the counter top when I go out, but the house is pretty open plan. If it hadn't been the bin (with it's cargo of chicken-scented silver foil) it would have been a lot worse.

Previous Dog's bald patches in the lawn where I shoved down a bit of potting compost and grass seed are showing amazing signs of growth in a week. I'm going to plant some herb seeds and see if they grow in the empty tubs on the sundeck. I'm going bankrupt buying pots of fresh herbs.

Trying out recipes today and having a superfine time in the kitchen in an effort to put off cleaning the shower room and bathroom. Daft really, because they only take 30 minutes between them.

*holds up bucket, spray gun and microfibre cloth*

I swear, on this bucket, I will faithfully clean the ablution centres in this hovel today.

    *lowers equipment*

... and slinks off to buy vinegar from the Chinese supermarket ...
    Better is good enough.

Roxy the milk teas are basically appetite stimulators so they make you want to eat more and therefore produce more milk.. they also make you smell like a mouse as you sweat out some of the stinky herby bits. Just eat more.. stuff like pasta which is carb heavy.. and drink lots too... I trained as a bf counsellor with NCT a 'few' years ago (11/12ish) I did use the milk teas when I had Tiddles (9 in November) but they didn't make any noticeable difference.

  • fizzwizz I stopped ironing for mine years ago. There was absolutely no point. I did have a physio tell me not to iron so had two excuses.

Sick dogs are such a pain. They both have it so they must have eaten something, somewhere but no one has seen them have anything but their normal dog food.

I can not afford another vet visit. But hall floor now mopped and disinfected. Kaolin fed to big dog now too. I would put them in the garden but they both just cry if I am not with them. Big babies.

    Super cute babies!
I have found my mojo a bit. Kitchen is spotless again, cutlery drawer cleaned DW emptied out away and refilled.
Jam is bubbling and my kitchen smells of lemons and ginger- nice!
Just having a cuppa with my baking books to plan next job! Suppose I better fly upstairs at some point!
