Teacher - the Lidl one is called Suddenly Madame Glamour. It's not bad, I don't think it's as good as the original - to me it has that slightly 'syntheticy' undertone that you sometimes get with the cheaper ones and it doesn't last particularly long. But then it's only about £4 a bottle (and half the time seems to be reduced as well!) so I suppose for that price you can afford to re-spritz a bit! :)
If you're looking for a cheapie perfume I actually really like the Next ones, they're meant to be copies as well (not sure on what all of them are though tbh!) but quite a few different ones and the smaller bottles are usually £5-7 and last quite a while. The 'nude' one does smell a bit like Coco Mademoiselle, though not an exact copy I don't think.

podperson I'm with you on the next fragrances :) I tend to get them as a day to day perfume. Keep the birthday and Christmas ones that I'd never spend the money on myself for special occasions.

I'm giving the water drinking a go, like someone else mentioned I hate it when they change the lighting for these before after photos... But its so simple its worth a try, managed my 3 litres yest, and 1 down today, but its still very early for me I'm really bad and rarely drink anything before dinner time :o! I've also been doing 30day shred though so the waters needed, not every day though I think my legs would fall off if I did that! lol.

I'm going to join again. I've put on so much weight (now 11.5 stone!!!) The largest I've ever been :(

So I'm making targets like 3 different exercises a week - rejoining the gym, including some weight building and maybe get a personal trainer for a session to make a plan for me.

I still need to plan an action in regards to food, but I'm feeling maybe snacking on fruit instead of snack size twix's/flapjacks and cutting back on booze...

Sharon87 - its the little things that make the biggest difference. Shame booze has to be so full of calories... definitely doesn't feel like it as it goes down does it :P apparently gin is the best... I don't like gin though :/

    Morning all!
Sorry I've not been around much this week - yet another madly busy week. The leadership course I'm on kicked in with full force this week and it means spending hours online doing webinars, research, tasks etc as well as working full time and trying to do all of those little jobs that you have to do.
The Fling had Ofsted in this week too so he's been sooo busy, stressed and not sleeping, eating or doing anything other than school stuff, its over now though thankfully. We had a lovely relaxed evening last night - just a takeaway, wine and some time together, felt like we'd caught up with each other again.

On the subject of perfumes - I bought one of the Next ones this week, its not bad and I think it was £6. M&S also do some nice ones that are reasonably priced.

This weekend its a case of shopping, cleaning and domestic chores and a load of school work. Fling and I willl do something today too, will probably involve watching rugby.
Fab-wise I need to do a bit of maintainance stuff - nails, face scrub etc but nothing major planned.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Thanks for the advice on perfumes. I certainly need an everyday idea. I'll have to browse Next, M&S and Lidl. I tend to like something fresh rather than sweet or heavy.

Glad you've got through to a restful weekend ww. How did the new school shoes go?

Lots of good fabbing going on here. Yesterday I used another Groupon voucher for a facial, Indian head massage and manicure. I also upgraded to shellac and had a pedicure too. Beautician was complimentary about the condition of my skin so was pleased with that. So thanks thread and thanks Aldi!:rotfl:

In talking to beautician yesterday, she recommended one or two facial scrubs a week and steaming about every two weeks. Personally I rarely do a proper facial at home so need to think about that. What does anyone else do? Any views?

Also, she said I should really use cuticle oil regularly. I'm good with handcream but not so good with oil or creaming my feet. Today, after my shower I've made a point of doing my feet and putting little socks on.:) Hopefully, I'll keep it up. I've got some cuticle oil at the moment (gift in a set) but would any oil do? What's the most mse thing to use?

Sharon, the best thing I did about fabbing was to cut down on booze and lose weight. Then it felt like all the other beauty and fashion bits were more effective. Sorry to bore those that know my story but I used Slimming World to lose weight and two great threads on here to help me. Good luck.;)

pod, sorry to hear it was bad news about the writing. Totally agree about the lighting in those photos but there was a difference in puffiness. I find if I have a drink with me when I'm online (sports bottle or mug of squash) I tend to drink it without thinking. Has to be better than snacking on rubbish!:rotfl:

Have a good weekend all. Weather's dreadful here today but I'm sure I'll be fine wrapped up warm.:)

Starting to feel a bit better and I have overhauled my diet which I hope is helping. That coupled with some meds from the doctor should hopefully have me back to good health in a week or two :D

Been far too tired to exercise or even walk the length of myself so this week I am going to sit on the exercise ball when in the house in the hope it will go someway to supporting my stomach and thigh muscles.

I have failed miserably at the skin care routine as once I am out of the bath or shower I have been struggling to stay awake. What I have been doing though is conditioning my hair which is something.

Clothing wise I have made sure that I have not been lounging in my PJs but have been getting properly dressed each morning which has helped me stay a bit brighter.
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

That article about the water is quite compelling and worth a try I feel. I'm going to seriously up my intake; actually if could just drink one litre per day it would be quite something. I started yesterday and drank a lot more than usual and have chopped up a lemon and added some to a litre bottle that I am planning to drink today.

I measured out three litres of water yesterday and found that is equivalent to about nine of my mugs, which doesn't seem quite so impossible to get through if some of them are allowed to be tea.

School shoes - ouch! They're getting better but my feet are always happy to take them off!
Well done on all of the fabbing maman - putting me to shame! :o
