Good to catch up with everyone.:)
I've actually managed to make a hair appointment for later today been procrastinating far too long! Just a cut and blow dry but it really needs some shape back in. I think highlights can wait until nearer Christmas.
I, too, have been spending a bit madly in last month. Quite a shock when I looked at my cc bill. Mainly because of 2 Puffa jackets and a fleece then sundry other bits of underwear etc. But I like them alland did need them too.
Will dress up smartly today but hair like rats' tails until my appointment!
Still eating healthily and keeping my weight under control, will be doing meal plan and shop later. My shellac nails were done 4 weeks today and they still look great, no chips or anything. I've made another appointment for next week plus a facial and head massage. All thanks to Groupon (another easy way of spending:o)
Have a good weekend all.0 -
Hi all, just caught up with the thread after a ridiculously busy few months. Great to hear all your news, hugs to those who need it!This time of year is when I really struggle in terms of the fabbing! Really hate it when the clocks change.
Work has been much better this school year, generally everyone seems much more positive- the kids know me and trust me and i've got some lovely classes and i've got all my lessons prepared from last year which makes the workload that much more manageable. Because of this I've not had to spend every minute of every evening working and so have kept up with going to spinning classes (although been a little bit naughty last week and given in to feelings of wanting to hibernate!)
Love life is on the up things going fairly well with the Mr but still taking it quite casually- probably a good thing as he's going on a 12 week trip at the start of the year (don't even want to think about that yet!).
Fabbing has slipped a little.. my wardrobe is dire at the moment but I am saving money and trying to go on a special trip to America next summer for 3 weeks so really clothes are low down my list! This means the fabbing has got to take precedence - sometimes you can feel good even in old clothes in your hair/ make up and nails are nice.
Is anyone off to any bonfire events this weekend?
Today's fabbing plan:
1) Dry brush, body scrub, shave and moisturise.
2) Pluck and tint eyebrows (DIY)
3) Pedicure
4) Manicure
5) Order new Liz Earle face cleanser and moisturiser- a bit of an extravagance given i'm saving but i know it works well and lasts a good while, i'm hoping to get some more for my birthday which is coming up to keep me stocked up. (this time of year plays havvock with my skin it's dry/ spotty!)
6) House fabbing- tidying, hoovering and clean bathroom.
7) Drink enough water! I tend to stop drinking as much when the weather gets cooler but then feel dehydrated and headachey!

I am very glad to have found you fabulosities. This sounds the perfect thread for me. I am trying to take myself in hand and become a fabulous being, but without going mad on the spending. Looking forward to hearing how you are getting on and sharing my own tales.November NSDs @ 3/11 = 1

Evening all!
Its back to school for me tomorrow and I've had a bit of a preen in anticipation. Eyebrows sorted, defuzz, toenails painted and a general tidy up of myself.
I bought new work shoes today too - nice black leather court shoes reduced to half price at £22 - bargain. They'll probably take a bit of breaking in but I'll perservere. I also picked up two tops - one for work and one for casual wear, I'll try them on again and if I don't love them they'll be going back. Both were bargains too so won't break the bank.
I've got a big meeting tomorrow and want to look and feel confident so I've already picked out my clothes and put them ready. Fingers crossed I'll come over well and look the part at leastWill make sure that hair and makeup are ok too - daft isn't it!:o
I'm starting on a bit of a health kick tomorrow too - my diet has been less than good recently so its lots of F&V and water from tomorrow. Lets hope it lasts more than a day or two!
Done a good bit of house fabbing today too so its all nice and clean and neat for the week, it will stay that way if it ever stops raining - wet dogs and clean houses aren't good bedfellows!
Hope everyone has a good week xxx0 -

Not daft at all! Hope meeting goes well.
I had my hair cut on Friday as promised and I'm delighted with it, no idea why I always put it off. I've even made an appointment for December this time so I'll have my highlights done and a trim ready for Christmas. If I was one of those celebs, I'd have my hair professionally blow dried every day!;)
I found last week really hard, probably the clocks going back. I was really miserable and tired and couldn't motivate myself at all. This week will be better.0 -
I have not been posting but I have been reading.
Been under the weather for a while so the fabbing has ground to a halt and needs a bit of a kick start. Beginning slowly to feel a bit better and taking more care of myself will only help
This week I am going to start back with the face care regime and focus on increasing the veg in my diet and cutting out any rubbish. For health reasons I need to be quite strict with what I am eating (doctors guidance not a fad) and although I have been doing reasonably well there is still room for improvement.
Apart from that I am going to try and gently exercise although I think my muscles have forgotten all about such things so some short walks will be the order of the day.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Thought it was just me!! Felt really lethargic all week but a bit more like my old self now.
Having my hair done today, not before time!! Not quite sure how short to go but will definitely get a "warmer" colour. White hair is ok in summer if but it can make me look very washed out in winter.
WW - hope the meeting goes well - and no it isn't daft to want to look good for it. Looking your best in these situations can be a real psychological boost and help you perform better.
BTW - DS1 got his promotion.....one proud mum here. :rotfl:
Rummer - Hope you continue to feel better, the fabbing will help.
That's what I'm doing, fabbing, trying to exercise now and then, eating healthily, taking my vitamins, getting a bit more rest and sleep.
It's starting to pay off - I feel a lot less stressed these days.
Well I didn't quite stick to my list for the ASDA trip - I succumbed to a nice jade green cardigan, a pack of knickers and a bra. However, I did sell a few bits and pieces at the auction house, so maybe I can say they were "cost neutral"or whatever the saying is. :rotfl:
Have a good week.......0 -
eyebrow semi neaten (still some to do)
Dyed hair blue black which means my blonde bits are a lovely blue yay.
on two week break from peels, so just micro flanneling and continuing to use rosehip seed oil and vit c.
dressing alot better and wearing my perfume thinking of getting the lidl Coco Madmoiselle dupe.
How are you all?0 -
Using up those dregs of toiletries as planned so lots of pampering
So interesting to see how my skin is looking with them. Surprised an expensive cleanser seemed to make it a bit redder. All used up now.
Using the hand cream is making my nails grow at a very fast rate.
Keep pampering everyone :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Have also been feeling under the weather since the clocks went back. Still have a bit of sinusitis and the flu injection didn't help! Had a good lie in this morning but woke up with a bad headache. However feeling a bit better now. Been doing a bit in the house (Flyladying). Bought some nice warm boots in the M&S 20% off so going to wear them when I go for a walk later. Congratulations to DS LL.0
