Sorry to hear your news about your Dad LL x0
-
Thanks for all your well wishes - what a fab supportive bunch you are.
Spoke to Dad again last night and he seemed remarkably cheerful and upbeat - with the usual "Well I've had a good innings"
What can you say. :rotfl: He's certainly got courage.
Well I'm bathed and fragrant and nicely dressed, hair styled etc, the bungalow is as neat as a pin, so I'm going to see OH for a natter and then off to do a bit of shopping and run a few errands. Maybe pop in and see if the charity shops have any bargains......
Have a good day.0 -
Good morning all
Where are you all, have you gone into hibernation already!!!.
Well apparently there is a storm coming, we've been put on amber alert for high winds. So today I will nip to Asda and do a bit of a stock up before the roads round here flood. Hopefully tomorrow I will pop over to DS1's house and make sure the garden is secure and there are no objects lying around which could be turned into missiles.
Have had a productive week. Met with joiner and electrician to discuss works needed to DS1's property. Offer accepted on a nice little terraced house for DS2. Fingers crossed this one comes off ok. I cannot believe how difficult it has been to find him the right property.
Have been keeping up the fabbing, defuzzing, eyebrows, face mask etc. I really must book a hair appt. I have inadvertently let it get quick long and I quite like it. I think I might keep it longer and just get it tidied up and a nice colour.
Have been keeping up with the healthy eating too, some gentle yoga, even managed a couple of walks. Plenty of rest. This morning I didn't get up till 8.30 - half the day gone:rotfl:
Don't forget the clocks go back tonight. Enjoy your extra hour.0 -
Hello,
Please can I come back and join you? It's been a few months, life has been pretty hectic a few men dramas, few holidays and a new job to name a few. It has been a good year so far on the whole, my confidence has increased and some good opportunities and don't want to let it slip/slide.
Been dating someone for a couple months, get on really well and enjoying his company but last night said he'd rather be friends. Least he is honest I suppose, had a little cry over a vino last night (not in front of him mind). But I don't want this to knock my confidence, I know there is nothing wrong with me, I was only myself with him and it was not meant to be.
Today I'm off to the gym, then shopping for a Xmas party outfit
Any words of wisdom or advice to keep my confidence together and me looking fab ready for the next man welcome
Eh xx0 -
2) focus on a 'quick win' to get you started. I have really dry feet. The Body Shop hemp cream sorted it out within a few day and I love seeing my feet looking soft.
Hi - I have used that Hemp cream for years as many midwives and health workers do. Anyway last night I had it on my feet as they are so dry and awoke in the night to find my little dog - Molly - licking my toes:eek::eek::eek:
Gave me a shock I thought my husband was having a peculiar turn :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Doggy seems ok and not too excitable - I guess there are no active ingredients
LL so sorry to read about your parents xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Eh - take care and attention of you. Get your hair done, do some grooming and take it easy. We learn stuff from people even those who disappoint us or freak us out! Namely well I'll not be talking to anyone like that again! So be grateful for the good bits. Ooh and how about a good wardrobe sort out to declutter mind, spirit and wardrobe
Now happy with my hair colour, think it was the initial shock of greys one day and not the next.
Wearing make up most days. It's also helping using up the stash of make up I have.

Eh xx
Chalk it down to experience, sulk for a while, a bit of TLC and then move on. :rotfl:
Seriously - you can't force someone to want you - any way his loss!!
Keep fabbing, do things that give you joy and pleasure and enjoy a bit of time to yourself for a while.
The next (hopefully better) man will be along shortly.
Speaking of the next man - WW how are you? How is it going with the fling:rotfl:
Nice to "see" you Molly.0 -
Sorry to hear about your dad LL, hugs xx
EH sorry to hear it hasn't worked out but you deserve to be with someone who wants to be with you xx
Pod crossing my fingers for you still xx
Hope everyone is OK, sort of lurking still
Hugs and spoons all round xI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
