What's your strangest dream?

  • I remember having a weird dream and there was a big fight between two gangs. I was in one of the gang and Jet Li was on my side too. Whenever you beat someone you pulled one of their eye balls and then they were all counted up at the end and whichever side had the most won. The fight took place in a hotel with lots of corridors and strange rooms and I found lots of interesting things in the rooms- one had a young girl in playing a game like chess or similar but she was very wise like an oracle or something.

Now that dream in itself is fairly odd (collecting eyeballs for goodness sake!!) but what makes it really strange is that I got to the end of the dream and it started again and EXACTLY the same thing happened all the way through and when it got to the end for the second time I woke up.

I remember reading a theory about dreams and why they are so weird is because of all the things we learn in the day are filed away when we sleep and your brain is trying to figure out how something new fits in with what we already know and running through different scenarios. We only remember the weird ones because why would you remember the normal ones? Like review sites- you only read bad reviews because theres no need to review something that went as expected.
  • My first ever dream came true recently.

We were in the middle of moving and I had a dream that our buyer had text me to say he was pulling out....a few weeks later he did!
Now when I dream something bad I am worried it will come true aswell, even though the house falling through was probably pure coincedence.
However,I dreamt the other night that my Uncle transferred £50k into my bank account.....that one I wouldnt mind coming true!

I remember a very vivid dream once where I was sitting outside a house with a frying pan. In the pan was a mars bar, in the wrapper. There was no heat source of any kind but somehow the frying pan had managed to burn the house down. No idea what that was about.

Has anybody done the giant marshmallow one yet?
  • Had some doozies in my time, my sister says I should turn some of them into books :rotfl:

I read a lot and have a very vivid imagination so that is what I attribute it too.

Ones that stick out the most are:

I was pregnant (I don't like nor want kids) and Gremlins were after my baby, I ran long and hard and hid in random places but they always found me.

Another was I was on a cruise with my family woke up in the middle of the night to find the whole ship deserted and a bloody handprint on the door!

Another was that I was charged with the task by Zeus to kill a demon, I set off into the Underworld to track this demon down, I encountered large snakes in pits, a big monster in the dark, bats with fangs etc before I reached my goal. It turned out I was sent because the demon was in love with me and I was the only one who could get close enough to stab him with the magical dagger, when he was dying in my arms he turned into a beautiful man and I felt really awful and sad :(

I regularly have zombie/vampire apocalypse dreams but I do read/watch a lot of that stuff before going to bed.

My dreams are better than reading sometimes :D

Prophecy dreams are often explained as our subconcious already picking up hints of something yet to come, perhaps certain things said in conversation that we miss as important but our brains don't, it also picks up body language and reads faces, gleaning information we haven't consciously noted as important.

There may have been clues that pointed towards this outcome that you missed in waking life and your subconscious was letting you know.
You cannot make something happen by dreaming, we dream about things that have already happened, dreams are created in the part of the brain that stores memories so only consist of feelings felt and events that have happened.

Fire signifies creativeness, the realising of a new opportunity perhaps, as the house is representing ourselves, very literally having an outside, the persona people see, and an inside, our inner feelings etc.
Being outside of the house shows you were thinking about others see you, is the new creativeness or new way of thinking going to change peoples view of you?

I have some very bizarre dreams from time to time but none I can really remember for more than an hour or so after waking, except for incoherent drips and drabs.

My ex has been showing up in my dreams a lot lately, though I can't remember in what context.

I tend to have dreams with a piece of music running constantly throughout it so much so that the music is stuck in my head for the majority of the day after waking. Yesterday I had the theme to The Shield in my head all day!

Totally agree this is why when we have a memorable dream we should try and analyse it, it means your subconcious is shouting at you, it's clearly something that is on your mind.

pregnancy signifies rejoicing leaving an old way of life and embracing the future, being chased is always about feeling anxious and feeling they are putting pressure on themselves to conform to certain beliefs or allowing someone else to put pressure on them
