So, last night I had the oddest dream. I always dream in a lot of detail and see colour and hear sound (many don't so I'm told). I also remember every minute detail, no wonder I'm exhausted when I wake.

In my dream last night that we had to get rid of the devil. Yup. He was tiny we agreed with him we would try to kill him. In a family gathering my OH's mum (although not actually her) spoke to all relatives via a microphone asking for help to get rid of him. A rich relative ended up paying cash in a bowl which then turned to acid the bowl melted away. The tiny devil jumped out and my OH chopped him in half with his hand. I was interested to know how much money the rich relative paid, however was told this was strictly personal to the rich relative.

No, I don't take drugs and didn't have any wine!!

Seriously !!!!!!. Anyone care to decipher?

No idea what your dream meant but do you eat cheese in the evening? Apparently that can cause you to have nightmares and very vivid dreams.

I also have very vivid and exciting dreams, sometimes my sleeping hours are more interesting than when I am awake. During times of stress I often dream that I am paddling a canoe down a lovely slow flowing stream, only to suddenly realise I am headed for a huge waterfall. I see myself going over the edge headed for the abyss and then wake up! On the bright side nothing bothering me then suddenly seems that bad.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

I have a recurring nightmare (woman in yellow dress) that I get when particularly stressed out.

Trying to cross a bridge but there is a woman in yellow nailed upside down to a cross crying for help and I'm too scared to go past her

The woman in yellow eating my niece alive in front of me and I'm too scared to fight her.

The woman in yellow chasing me in my sisters house - I'm in the hallway running for the door, she's running down the stairs just behind me and the hallway never ends

Yes, I did actually. I have heard this and wondered if it was related.
  • I had a strange dream a while ago, in the dream I woke up in the morning and thought I had had a seizure during the night (I have epilepsy, so that bit isn't the strange bit), so I needed to ring work and let them know I wouldn't be in that day.

However, there were aliens stealing tiles from the roof so I had to hide in bed and not make the phone call until they had gone or else they would hear me and want to talk to me, and I was too tired to explain that stealing tiles was rude and we don't do things like that on Earth.

It was the afternoon (in the dream) before the aliens went, at which point I woke up in a panic and rang work immediately, to say I would be off that day, apologising for ringing them so late.

As I ended the call, I thought "hang on a sec...", realised that the aliens might possibly have been a dream, looked at the time, realised it was only 9am, then had to ring work back and say I would be there after all...
Luckily the guy I spoke to on the phone hadn't passed the message on to my manager or anyone else, so I just told them all I'd overslept. I did feel like a right idiot though!

I had the 'wave' dream for years - apparently its a known phenomena that thousands of people have had this same dream.
I also had lots of weird dreams of being in a train and passing a lake which grew and grew and the water engulfed the train (I always woke up at this point). then it stopped.

I do sometimes have weird dreams - ordinary nice dreams don't seem to stay in my memory!
  • It started with a dream that I had killed somebody (don't know who) and hid the body. I woke up in a right state because my dreams are really vivid. A few weeks later I had a dream the police were on the verge of finding the body so I had to move it

For months I can have the dream that I am on the verge of being caught and have to keep moving the body somewhere else. This has been going on for a few years now. It's so real feeling I wake up shaking and actually questioning myself.

I've had some other crazy dreams that for some reason are all to do with death/dead people. Or the one that involved a giant jacket potato at the local post office with 3 multi coloured 10 pence pieces inside :o
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.
  • I used to have a recurring dream that I was being chased by giant dolly pegs with evil faces, running down a corridor that gets smaller and smaller. Scary.
  • I dream quite a lot about my teeth falling out, and dreams of being in my childhood house and creepy/disturbing things happening.
