Hey stewby, how are you? Just dropping by to wish you a Happy New Year. I also had a late Hogmanay, followed by a shift at work...followed by a long sleep!
Yes, I keep my credit card and use it for the added protection. It's also a good back up just in case anything major was to happen unexpectedly.
So, we have a new year and lots of kick a$$ plans to kill the debt - excellent! I look forward to reading all your updates0 -
Happy new year Siouxsie!! Glad to hear you had a good one too... goodness knows how you managed to work afterwards.
So it's fake xmas here today!!
:j
This is where OH and I do a xmas meal for 9 relatives and give out a pressie that Santa left over.
Things to do today:
* Well... we have no puddings as the shops were shut yesterday and budget money doesn't go in until the 1st. So we are going shopping.
* taking out our money and putting it into envelopes (If I can find envelopes). We are also putting our savings away today!!
* Clean the house thoroughly as granny is one of the 9 people coming over.
* Have a great day!!
But first... I have to get out of bed.
Have a wonderful day everyone and I feel for those who have to go to work today. eurgh.

Feeling like a rant so decided to come on here to do it.
Just deleted the whole story and will make it shorter and less ranty.
My sil (for the second year running) has invited a relative to our fake xmas. There was no text to make me aware of this... my mum told me this morning when we came up for the xmas tablecloths.
The reason why I am so upset is because there is no consideration for anyone... I buy presents for each guest. How would this kid feel if there wasn't one for her. How would I feel having not given her anything. What if we didn't have enough food or seats. It would have been awful. I would have been gutted.
Anyways... I just wanted to rant on here cause, as always, OH isn't fussed and I feel weird for being annoyed.
:undecided
If this is the kid that doesn't eat turkey then things are going to get ranty.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

I'd have had a bit of a rant too! You need some warning!
Have you got some random smellies or chocs you can quickly wrap?

wow don't blame you at all for being ranty at that!
when she arrives take her to one side & say you would really appreciate some notice of extra people next time!- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
- Student Loan gone
Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps0 -
I would definitely be annoyed! Hope you or your mum said something?
Apart from that, hope you've had a lovely day?
I've been racing all over the place like an idiot as car had an issue yesterday so had to combine working in one city and getting car to and from the garage in a different city, at the same time. I've driven two different cars, been on 3 buses and walked about 4 miles. All good exercise I guess! Now just off to the tyre place and then to tutoring before dinner.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

nah... didn't say anything. wrapped up chocolates only to find that she doesn't eat chocolates. What kinda 10 year old doesn't eat chocolate!?!?
Meal was a success although OH did get a bit stressed cooking for 10. Might have to do a buffet thing rather than a full three course meal next time. Or maybe just two courses.
We did have a nice family time though. We watched "the Croods" dvd with the kids then played charades which was highly entertaining.
In other news... I spoke to my dad about the john lewis deal ending on the 18th and he said I could buy it now, as long as I worked the extra shifts. So I went online and it said it had sold out. I was feeling a bit rotten as I now figured I had missed the great prices and my laptop had been playing up earlier (thought I was going to lose all my pictures)... went back online through hotukd34ls and here it was... four left in stock.
So I am now the proud owner of an ipad mini, 64GB in black, with wifi and cellular.
:j
I know this sounds really stupid but it will make my life easier. I plan to put my offduty and holidays and planned events in it so that I can keep track of what I am doing. I also plan on using it for trips away. Back when OH and I were first going out, we lived a long distance apart (me north-east scotland, OH london) and we travelled back and forth once a month to visit each other. My poor laptop suffered a hell of a beating every month... so ipad mini will be easier to transport... and smaller too. Yes, I have convinced myself that it is exactly what I need.
We overspent on our weekly budget but hopefully should be able to rein it back in next week as we have heaps of food and drink, loads in the freezer, etc.
so total spent was £43.75 (however £5 of that was my mum's shopping so I should be getting that back). This means that we spent £38.75 so £3.75 over budget. Not too shabby considering.
Away to go and find some recipes for our new slow cooker. Something simple to start with I think.
Hope everyone is doing well and keeping to their new years resolutions.

So it's the 3rd of January.
It's not as bad as I feared. Don't get me wrong, it is still horrendous and awful but not as bad... I only really need to lose 70lbs but I am going to keep it as 72 as it's a multiple of 8. (yep, I am that lame).
I love that I just wrote only... as if 70lbs is nothing.
:rotfl: <
crazed laughing smilie.
Plan is for today to be a spend-free day a I don't need to go to the shop for anything and I can have a pyjama day. Everyone loves a pyjama day and in order to spend nothing is a great excuse!!
Hope everyone has a great day.

Hey fmess.
So target calories is 1350...
... january 3rd: 1,199 (including nightshift foods).
... january 4th: 964 (including nightshift foods).
I keep taking a can of coke with me in case of an energy crash but I haven't needed it yet.
*fingers crossed*
No exercise as of yet but then I generally don't exercise on work days in case I injure myself. (back is a bit risky but I figure that comes with the job. I don't want to make it worse though).
:embarasse
back off to work I go. Sorry for the short entry.
