Fruit flapjacks are just out of the oven and cooling now, I told myself they were healthy as they had lots of oats and fruit in, however they also have a whole pack of butter, not to mention all the sugar and golden syrup so I think I may be kidding myself there.:DWorrying won't stop bad stuff from happening, it just stops you from enjoying the good.0

It's been so miserable here today. Not stopped raining once. Good day to stay in baking. So here it is, Buttermilk Cheddar Scones with my homemade butter
The butter was soooooo easy to make and is delicious!!!!0 -
Firstly, I was delighted to find this on the first page of DFW because I was prepared to go diving for it! Thread now subscribed to with apologies to my ever widening rear end.....you really are toast now!
Homemade butter - how do you do that? Really curious now and would love to give it a go. It looks fab, wegle, as do the scones.
We've been up to some baking too and before I scarfed the lot I remembered that I needed a pic for you! These are being lovingly referred to as Skonts - Mr HOK3Y came up with the idea last night and executed them rather well today. The one on the left is orange and the one on the right is blueberry and blackcurrant. I don't think there are any left and considering they came out of the oven only 20 minutes ago, that's pretty impressive!!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -

Do tell how to make butter. I did it once in a butter churn on a farm, but can't guess now0 -

Here's today's offering, my cheese and marmite pasties.
These were sort of thrown together using the leftover potatoes and cheese I had. I didn't put enough marmite in though for my liking, you could only just taste it. Still yummy though and will be nice for a few work lunches this week.0 -
Those look yummy wegle - I might try something like that for hubby's lunches. He's never had marmite before but he loves cheese and potatoes. I think he'd like it. Might just give it a go. They were dead easy HOK3Y, especially as I had frozen pastry!Bit of a cheat but hey they taste good still.
You wouldn't need to put the marmite in but I love the cheese & marmite mixture. Hubby and I like it really strong though!0 -
