Thanks everyone.
I've seen the notice about the ebay changes, and am trying to figure out how it impacts on me.
The 20 free listings are good, but they are also getting rid of the free 99p listings. Then the listing fees are 35p standard. It's a lot for low value stuff. They do say they will continue to have free listing promotions though so that will help.
I am wondering though whether it will be more economical for me to have a shop - on my main account where I've got all the books. I'll have to see how it goes and figure out the maths.
Peaceandfreedom, I like Yougov as I never get screened out. It's taken me about 2 years to get to the £50 the last couple of times. You do have to be careful though about the prize draw thing, I've been caught out on that a few times too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Ooh, thanks for this jwil. I haven't seen that they are getting rid of the 99 pence listings or that the fees will be 35pence standard.
I will have to up the ante and list as much of the cheaper stuff as I can before the 13th may.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

That's my plan too. I've just had another look at it, and a shop wont save me anything so that's out. I'm going to get as much on as I can now, and then either rebundle into larger lots, or just wait for free listing to do my relists."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Just done my sums for this and next month  Not looking pretty.
That plus the ebay changes mean I must get listing. Right, off I go!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

At least it's an incentive to get stuff up for sale.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Well I managed another 47 listings yesterday :T :T
Sat down and had a chat with Dh about how the changes will affect us. We've always been happy to pay for the first listing, and for more expensive stuff, the 35p fee is actually a saving.
So we are going to carry on as normal, but save low value items for the free listings and FLW, and pay to insert the higher value stuff.
Once the house is clear, it won't be such an issue, but it's annoying at the moment, as we were really trying to blast through it.
In the meantime, I'm going to try and get as many of the low value items listed beforehand as I can in an attempt to clear as much as possible first.
I did redeem a £5 amazon voucher yesterday from a survey site too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Amazing work on the listings, Jwil, you really have a slick operation going there. :T
Hope you have a lovely day - is it sunny in your part of the sunny South West?0 -

Well I popped home at lunchtime and one of the dogs has chewed a load of DH's stuff  He is going to go mad.
She is a real chewer and I keep telling him not to leave it lying around but he doesn't listen.
Oh joy!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
