Of course, my kids had me up frequently during the night when they were ill, you can't do anything about that other than stagger around bleary-eyed during the day, which is what I did. Or I'd pop them in the bed with us if it meant we all slept better. Getting a good night's sleep was important to me because I am hopeless without it.
You may have said this earlier on in your diary - but is there any reason why baby Jwil is still in your room? Is it that you just prefer having him there?
Hope all the bugs clear up - now it is Spring-time, hopefully a lot of them will go away and leave you all in peace.
There's a fine line for me - I can cope with a certain amount of disturbed sleep, but once it crosses that I do feel bad.
He's still in our room because *whispers* you can't get into his room
:o:o:o:o:o:o
Yes, our house is *that* bad . It is crammed right to the door. We need to empty his room and try and get it into the smallest room which isn't suitable for him, but it's finding the space to move everything because there is stuff everywhere in the rest of the house too.
Hopefully we'll try and make some inroads while we are off.
And this is why I have a neverending supply of stuff to ebay
You can really see a difference downstairs now, but upstairs is still crazy. It's the consequences of inheriting the contents of a properly hoarded house and cramming it all into ours while we sort through it. I can at least then set a goal of putting 10 items up for sale this week:D

Just missed free listing weekend but ready for next one lol!
I cant believe you list so much - doesn't it drive you mad having to package it all up and then go and post it? Your post office must love you lol
Hope you and baby ok now x0 -

Lovely to see you again LAM! Glad the horse trials went ok
I absolutely hate the listing and packing and posting. I print all my postage at home and take it to the sorting office where I can just drop it off and they stamp my proof of posting. It's much easier and quicker that way.
I only go to the post office for things I want to send tracked."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Wow, you really do have a lot of stuff.
I can see where your motivation to ebay comes from and I admire your hard work in listing and packaging so much stuff. I find it hard to drum up the motivation myself, although parts of our house (particularly the garage) are very cluttered.
Well, you will get there one day, having made lots of money along the way. :T0 -

Jwil, some questions on this:- Do you print off the postage on plain paper or do you use labels?
- Do you have any issues with parcels being 'small', 'medium','large' do you measure your packages to make sure they comply with the size guidelines?
- Can anyone just go to their sorting office rather than the post office?
Thanks, just interested in how you do things - might make me more likely to ebay stuff if I didn't have to go through the trauma of using the post office.

Hi jwil.
I can cope with nearly anything apart from lack of sleep!
You've done so much listing.
I have done relists so far-even though it was free listing at the weekend. I was sewing instead of listing.
Right, better finish the job Mr tc asked me to do.
Then I need to update my diary and sort out a 'to do' list.

No worries
I just use normal printer paper and tape it to the parcel.
I have a list of the measurements of the different parcel sizes and make sure I'm using the correct one. (I did also invest in a few 'sized' boxes from ebay, so I knew exactly what the dimensions were, but I could afford to do that as I have so much). As with anything when you do it often enough, you get to know which class it will be in. I only have to measure borderline things now.
You can print off postage from Paypal (not 2nd class), Ebay (allows 2nd class) or directly from the RM website. I use paypal or ebay most of the time. All of the above will give you a printed proof of posting sheet too. If it's international postage, paypal postage will also sort out any customs forms too. You choose when printing whether your parcel is large letter, small or medium parcel.
If I'm using collect plus I print that from ebay too and just drop off at the store.
I believe anyone can go - it's the same place I go to pick up parcels. It's open from 7am to 7pm so really handy. I tend to drop off on my way to work. If I had to use the post office I couldn't do as much as I do now. This works out so much easier."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Relists all help too
At least with the sewing you were doing something you enjoy, that's just as important! "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I've been working in Cheddar this afternoon, so had a little drive through the Gorge to cheer me up
It was quite nice to be out of the office for a change. "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
