How old is he now? And how bad is the night? Are you breastfeeding?
I have a sleeper, she likes her sleep. But I believe it's all down to her personality, she likes her routine and she likes to be left alone for 12 hours. And as a good mummy I respect that;).
That's very considerate of you
He's 11 months now. A good night he wakes up 2-3 times, a bad night, every hour or more. He's on formula now, but can still have up to 18oz overnight. He's not great at eating during the day but is getting better.
He's not got his own room yet, which I'm sure is part of the problem."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hey Kavics - how are you and your baby girl. I think of you both often.
JWIL - my DD1 was terrible for nearly a year - he was a colicky baby - was allergic to anything that wasn't soy and then suddenly settled just after his first birthday.
My dogs now act like babies and want letting out so I never get a full nights sleep anyway
We've got a cat flap for the dogs so we don't have that problem
I'm hoping he'll settle soon. I dream of sleep!
Saying that, he's still asleep now! Why won't he do that overnight instead!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I'm working from home today, so have been up early to get some listing done before I started. I'll try and do some more later.
Had a splitting headache when I woke up, but have taken some tablets and that seems to have worked. Going to try and drink lots of water today."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". The key most of the time is to get as much food and formula in them as possible during the day so they won't wake up hungry overnight. Toddler kavics started to sleep through the night when she went into her own room at 6 months, she always woke up when I moved and vica versa.
And don't let him sleep too long during the day. At 11 months we had one 45 min nap in the morning and 2 hours right after lunch, always awake by 2.30. It works for us.
Lam, we are good. Plodding along. Some days are hard, some days are easy. The 2 year anniversary is coming up in May, I can't believe how time passes.0 -

He's not great at eating, but he's getting better so hopefully that will help.
Sleeping in the day doesn't make any difference. He usually has a good 2 hrs in the morning, and then a short nap in the afternoon. At nursery he barely sleeps at all. If anything, the more he gets in the day, the better he sleeps at night.
I can't believe it's 2 yearsTime really does fly. Are you enjoying life overseas?

Well I had a pretty productive day yesterday as little jwil spent half of it asleep! Poor thing, he seems to catch up on a Thursday, as it's the only day he's not in nursery.
I managed to list 12 items for DH, 7 for me, and about 15 on our joint account. Fingers crossed for some sales.
We've got some time off coming up, so I really need to try and get some more stuff on to raise some cash for when we are off so we can do some things!
I bought a RM claim form with me today to post, and realised I haven't included the cert of posting, doh! So better try and find that later.
I did take out a life assurance policy yesterday for 20 years. It's been niggling me that I don't have anything in case something happens to me. I do have death in service benefits for my job, but whilst its a decent amount, it's not enough to clear everything. Now if something happens to me then there should be enough to clear the mortgage, any debts and leave some extra for them.
Once it expires in 20 years time, we'll be mortgage free anyway, and I'll be long debt free (I hope!!!). Once that happens, I can review anything else that's required.
More storms due here again later. Fingers crossed it's not as bad as they are suggesting.
Hope everyone is well and safe."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Hi jwil,
Sounds like kavics and Lam have given some good adviceWhen will little jwil get their own room ? As it sounds like that will help.
I really feel for you with the lack of sleep as i find it so hard to function properly if i don't get a good nights sleep x
Well done on the listings :T Do you pay for listings jwil? I am pretty much at 100 items now - when i re-list tomorrow and i am reluctant to pay extra in fees unless i was confident of something selling
How is the debt reduction going? Or is it more about keeping on an even keel now with the nursery fees etc?
As you've mentioned life assurance it has reminded me that this year i should sort out a will - i do own stuff so need to put something in place really then if my situation alters i can just tweak it. Unfortunately the out-laws decided to tell me once (univited) what their thoughts were about it - on my birthday meal outand it just made me so angry i needed to be calm and clear before thinking what to do - by then i had no money to pay for one :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I am not even sure really where to start
Hope all is good with you today jwil - and everyone else tooxx

morning - how are you and baby doing? I have a cold and cough now - have managed the whole of winter without a sniffle and now its arrived.
hope the storms are not too bad - are you under water?
Free listing this weekend and I have one expensive item that I have ummed and aahed whether to sell - its a saddle I don't use and I am not prepared to sell it for nothing as its a very good make and worth a lot of money to the right person. I will have to use a courier to deliver as I am so worried about damage and have realised that it just wont fit either of my horses and I really should sell it.0 -

Thanks Brizzle, I think the headaches are related to sleep and maybe the cold too, it's ok today thankfully,
Very stormy here too last night.DedicatedDFW wrote: »Hi jwil,

Thanks DDFW, little jwil will get a room when we eventually clear the space! We've made a start, but as with everything life gets in the way.
I do pay for listings most of the time. I try and relist on FLW and add new stuff if I can. Most of my books are on BIN so I pay to relist those. I usually sell a few though so it helps. If you are relisting and paying for some, make sure you relist/list the most expensive items first so you get the free listings on them, and then pay for the cheaper listings. If you do it all together, it mixes them up so you pay more than you would otherwise.
I don't have a will either. That's something else I need to sort out.
Debt busting isn't really happening, still trying to get on track, but hopefully getting there!morning - how are you and baby doing? I have a cold and cough now - have managed the whole of winter without a sniffle and now its arrived.

We're ok thanks LAM, I'm hoping we are coming to the end of this stage of cold (fingers crossed!)
We are not underwater luckily as we are on a hill. It's been quite bad around us though. We're quite fortunate really.
If I'm umming and ahhing about an item, I put it on for a stupid amount - one where I'll be happy if it sells for that. You can then gauge whether there is interest or not and always reduce the price if it doesn't sell."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
