Getting back on track

Well this weekend was a washout.
We had a terrible night on Saturday where little man screamed all night for no apparent reason. I was also ill so combining trying to settle him with running to the loo every 5 minsSo Sunday was out as I felt so bad.
Luckily he was better last night so have managed to get some stuff done. I've decluttered a big pile of magazines, gave the bathroom a deep clean, changed our beds, tidied the kitchen, packing and posting of ebay sales, shredded a load of paperwork, tidied a few other areas and found a few more items to pop on ebay.
I'm very pleased with that.
We are out visiting tomorrow so not much to be done there.
Hope everyone is well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thanks DDFW
Yep, off this week. We've had quite a productive day as little jwil was still in nursery.
The recycling boxes are incredibly full!
Hope you are feeling better now tattycath.
An ebay challenge sounds fab! I didn't do well this month either.
Let's go for it for March. What is everyone aiming for?
I think I will aim for 100 new listings. (Not counting relists).
Sounds like a plan. I have 49 up at the moment. I listed 23 new listings yesterday and 11 so far today.
I'm amazed how reading through my own diary again as well as DDFWs has remotivated me.
So count me in for next months challenge.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hi everyone
A quick hello to you all - it's nice to see all the familiar faces here.
Jwil, you seem to have had a tough time lately, hope things pick up soon. I will reply separately to your baby-sleeping question.
I have started my own diary which is here:

I hope it will help me focus and actually finally become debt-free.0 -
Hi All,
I lost my message as the comp froze
jwil - i am sorry little jwil has been unsettled it must be difficult when they can't explain what's the matter / what they want ((hugs)) and sorry you were poorly too glad you sound much better nowyou were right to have yesterday to recover
TC - thanksbut i think my diary must be alot duller than others :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But i do feel accountable when i put things down - like i need to report back on the challenges i set myself
I need to update how i've done on my goal for this month - i will hit target this week as i had challenged myself to prepare items where the start price adds up to to a total of £500 :T I think anything we do towards target is good as we may achieve more than we would have otherwise
Jwil you're aiming for 100 - TC what are you aiming for? i need to choose what my target is for march... next declutter room is kitchen and i doubt there's much to source from there for the bay of e especially...
Jwil good you've achieved loads today means you can enjoy tomorrow guilt-free
*fingers crossed* for sales

If you think your diary is dull DDFW, you should read mine-yours is positively exciting to me in comparison.
I think I should aim for getting 100 items listed next month-new lists not relists.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Well done on getting so much done!
I know you've said in an earlier post that baby Jwil is waking up 2-3 times a night on a good night. I am not sure why he is waking up but I can tell you that for me, 2-3 times a night would be a very bad night. My kids all went to bed at about 7 o'clock and I wouldn't hear a peep out of them until the morning. There would be exceptions of course, if they were ill/teething/had a bad dream but generally, from the age of about 6-7 months, they slept all night.
I must admit that at about 7 months or so, I moved them into their own room. I needed my sleep and I simply couldn't function if I was being woken up several times every night.
When baby Jwil wakes you up - what does he want? Food or just a snuggle? For your own sanity, it would be good if you could find a way to help him sleep happily all night. Not sure if I can help but do shout if there is anything specific you'd like to know.
Anyway, it's good to be back. I've had a bit of a tough time of it lately but I'm feeling optimistic about the future and it's good to 'see' you all again.0 -
