Getting back on track

I know you've said in an earlier post that baby Jwil is waking up 2-3 times a night on a good night. I am not sure why he is waking up but I can tell you that for me, 2-3 times a night would be a very bad night. My kids all went to bed at about 7 o'clock and I wouldn't hear a peep out of them until the morning. There would be exceptions of course, if they were ill/teething/had a bad dream but generally, from the age of about 6-7 months, they slept all night.
I must admit that at about 7 months or so, I moved them into their own room. I needed my sleep and I simply couldn't function if I was being woken up several times every night.
When baby Jwil wakes you up - what does he want? Food or just a snuggle? For your own sanity, it would be good if you could find a way to help him sleep happily all night. Not sure if I can help but do shout if there is anything specific you'd like to know.
Anyway, it's good to be back. I've had a bit of a tough time of it lately but I'm feeling optimistic about the future and it's good to 'see' you all again.
It's great to have you back
When he wakes up he wants a bottle. He is having 2-3 bottles overnight. I've tried giving him water instead but he won't have it.
I've also tried getting more into him during the day but I can't do it, especially on the days he's at nursery. It also doesn't seem to make a difference if he does have more.
I think when he goes into his own room it will be better as I'll be able to try and leave him to resettle himself for longer. It's hard to ignore him when he's yelling in my ear100 items - wow! lol - I Don't think I own 100 sellable items. I did sell one thing - made £45 - decided not to sell the big expensive saddle - just cant part with it
nice to see you peaceandfreedom - hope things get better for you.
Jwil - you managing any better sleep patterns yet?
Sadly not
I have tonnes of saleable items. It's nice in a way, but it's so annoying that it takes up so much room. You can't get to anything in my house without having to move something else first. I hate that with a passion. It's all very low value so need to list loads to get any decent return. Time wise it's not worth it, but the amount it can bring in altogether cannot be ignored when every penny counts.
I have photos taken already of around 500 items, that works out about 4 boxes. I have loads of boxes full (of course some items are bigger so doesn't always correlate)."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hope your Little Man had a good birthday and you're all wellxx
Thank you, we had a good day, I have a one year old :eek:Hi everyone, how are you all doing? I listed 10 new things today and some relists!
So I've achieved 10% of my march target-just want some sales now!
Well done! Fingers crossed for some sales"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hey everyone, sorry for the absence. Trying to catch up with everyone now.
I managed to get 26 items on at the weekend, and am trying to get halfway today.
It was nice to have the week off, and tried to stay off the computer a bit so didn't get loads listed, but did get other stuff done which was nice, and managed to get some reading done too, which was lovely"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I've been doing a lot of thinking recently as I'm not really getting anywhere financially.
I did receive my first lot of childcare vouchers this month, which did make a difference, so I'm hoping things will get easier from now on.
My problem is I have credit cards and the loan. At the moment, things are tight, so I re-spend on the credit cards which means I'm not getting anywhere.
So although my loan is not my highest interest rate, I am going to focus on that. Any money I pay towards it, I cannot re-spend so it does clear it quicker. I have 35 payments left, so am going to try and get that down. It has interest front loaded, so any overpayments will reduce the balance quicker as they adjust the interest.
The sensible solution is to get rid of the cards, but I don't have emergency funds, so need the backup at the moment.
The loan is my largest payment, so clearing that earlier will free up a lot more cash each month.
We do want to have another little jwil in the future (probably in a couple of years), so getting the finances on track is important.
I won't be ignoring the credit cards, and will soon cut one up so that I can't use it any more, but that will have to wait for a couple of months.
I will also continue on my quest to get this house cleared and carry on ebaying my little heart out
I've been going around in circles for ages trying to do it the MSE way by clearing the highest interest first, but it's not working for me. I need to pay off what I can't borrow again, so finally making the decision has made me feel a lot better again."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Oh dear, the meter reader has just turned up and I've had to turn them away as you can't get to either of the meters
One has a car parked in the way, not mine, so I can't move it, and the other has a huge pile of ebay packaging in front of it, so I'll have to move that mountain later."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I've done another 24 listings today, so that's me halfway for the monthly target.
I've also sold an item, but have messed up the postage so given it away for free (and made a loss after fees) Oh well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Just uploading another 14 listings which were scheduled on DH's account. These don't count towards my challenge though.
Little jwil has been for his jabs poor thing, and I've done a couple of hours overtime. Although I don't get paid for it, it's time in the bank which I can take off again in the future."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Just popping in to say  and well done on of the ebay listings :j and hopefully sales.
I've relisted the same items so many times and although lots of watchers no sales. Well when I do sell I get a NPB
Our lives are still taken up with doctors and hospital appts and even more ailments for OH but we mudde through.

I wouldn't worry about it - we've done that before. I informed the nice man that he was taking his life in his hands going into our garage to read the meter. :rotfl:0 -
