  • Hi Nymphadora!

Your spends all sound like they wer pretty much essentials so you can't beat yourself up about it. How long til payday now?

We are trying to defrost the freezer, so this week will be a "Use it Up" week of strange things for tea!! Has to be done every now and then and there's no point buying food when there is in the house.

Any luck on the lottery?! ;)

    Hi Mrs S

Yes most spends were essential. Child Ben in on Monday but the this needs to last 10 days.

I do get paid in between but this is not to be touched.

Sadly not yet won the lotto but there is always tonight lol
  • Well the last few days have been a disaster. Sunday my fibro played up big time could barley get out my bed. Monday was much the same.

DH was working so we resorted to a takeaway as I hadn't cook all the food I was planning on doing.

Was in work yesterday and thankfully my 2nd shift this week is not till Friday. Just as well as I couldn't get out of bed again this morning but I am up now and only plan to batch cook the mince.

It has been so cold again here and we have had to top up the electric again :-(.

Account balance is nil but there is £69.03 pending to come out. I know £10 of that is electric and £20 is petrol. The rest I am not sure. DH has bought something for a friend but he will get this back so hopefully if my calculations are right we will have only gone over by £30 and I will take this out our savings account to avoid us going into the OD.

    Right off to start cooking.
  • Aw sorry to hear the last few days haven't been too great for you :( They can only get better.

Sometimes these things are just sent to test our patience, you'll be back on an even keen soon enough.

    Happy cooking,

  • Absolutely done in after work.

Haven't checked online banking today but will tomorrow.

Heading for an early night as need to be up early as DS has football @ 8.30am :-(

DD tonight announced her trainers don't fit and needs new ones for PE at school and DH is booking another exam so that's another £44. Don't these people know I only have £134 as of Monday to do us 10 days :(
  • Well yesterday was a nightmare. We got totally soaked at the football and covered in mud.

We all had to have a hot shower when we got home and our clothes straight in the washing machine.

Of course I was totally shattered and spent most of yesterday on my bed.

Really tired today but forcing myself to make some dent in the mountain of washing we have.

Not yet checked online but so disappointed we didn't manage to work with that money we had.

The gas a elect have run out so topped them up by £20 each.

Spent £16.66 in L!dl and £4.93 in Farmfoods.

Also on Friday I was very naughty and got a Mcds. I was so tired on Friday morning and didn't have time or the energy to make lunch so went out at lunch time.

Right off to check the damage on online banking.
  • That's work over for another week.

Was paid today so I have put £40 into the savings account.

Spends over the last few days are:

    £10 works lotto
    £10 home lotto
£10 cash (to buy lunch at work again but have about £7 change.
£4 on new trainers for DD (in the sale)
    £8.00 in FarmF
    £8 in L!dl

I do need petrol but holding off a few days if I can.

Still need to have a good look over online banking.

I am going to set up the mobile app so I can use it when at work to keep tarck.

Good news in DH has done a total of 24 hrs OT this month.

6Hrs will go through this month the rest in Feb pay.

After tax for 24hrs that's £450 approx. Now if he got that most months that would really boost our savings but I know it's not guaranteed.

Right off to check what's for dinner.

Thanks for that I am feeling much better today.
  • So far today I have cleaned the kitchen, bathroom and living room.

I have flung the windows open to let some fresh air in. The sun is also shining, I had forgotten what the sun looked like :rotfl:

Last night I downloaded the mobile banking app so no excuse for not keeping on top of things.

Need to save £954 a month  to reach my target so roll on DH pay day next week to see what we manage.
