Oh sorry to hear your part time income is stopping soon. Hopefully though you will pick something else up so you can continue with your £600 target each month.
  • Well things went downhill on Thursday night, myself and the kids have been floored by a bad cold. Friday I didn't move from my bed. The kids managed school but they were wiped out by Friday pm.

So of course any moneysaving plans went out the window.

DH was knackered after all the OT he has done so we had a takeaway on Friday, not sure how much it was but will check.

Spent some £ in boots getting cold remedies so need to check the receipt.

I know I did get petrol and an air freshner so that was £22

We did get some milk and bread so again need to check receipt.

MIL came over and cooked dinner yesterday so that saved some money as she brought all the food too.

Woke this morning feeling a bit better so have managed to put a washing on and beef in the slow cooker.

Need to get some shopping but DH said he will go to save me going out.
  • Bank account @ 0.00 ready for DH wages going in tomorrow.

Will hopefully be transferring £705 into the savings account.

Have already put £112.37 in today and £90 in the credit union this month so should have saved £907.00 towards our goal:j

Still short of what I need to save each month but DH missed the cut off for some of his OT being paid this month so hopefully I will make this up next month.

DH has OT again so another 4 hers to add to the pot.

Tomorrow I will be taking out the cash for petrol and food.

Spent £4.95 in Lid! Today and also £6.65 on lunch (meta friend for a long overdue catch up).
  • My calculations are out slightly.

Managed to put away £775.70 this month. Less than I wanted but still pleased.

    Food shopping has been done.

£240 cash taken out spent £85.59 today stocking up. This should last a week and a half apart from milk/bread top ups.

So £154.41 left till 27th Feb.

£60 left for gas and elec.

Need to take £160 out tomorrow to cover petrol.
  • All shopping has been put away.

Kitchen had been scrubbed and the bin emptied and disinfected.

Going to tackle the living room next.
  • Today is a NSD :j

Going to try and have as many as possible of these.

House is tidy so only washings to be done today.

Weather is awful and it's very very cold so heating is on and it's staying on.

Kids having a friend each over for dinner, they wanted a Dom!nos but I said no so we are having L!dl pizza, SP garlic bread much much cheaper.

DH did 3 hers OT yesterday and 4 hours on Wednesday.

No OT today which he is glad off as he is tired though working his normal hours.

Just made a really nice toaster and had that with soup for lunch.

Going to do very little but relax today/night.
  • I had a wee snooze and I am feeling fairly relaxed.

Dinner is in the oven and I have meatballs in a tomato sauce cooking in the slow cooker for DH as he is on the late shift tomorrow so has dinner at work.

Heating is still on as it's very cold here.

DS is home with a letter about a weekend adventure trip on a few months. £110. He wants to go and we are happy for him too but £50 need to be paid next Friday so depending when then cha clears I may need to take some of the money I just transferred into the savings. His sister has done this trip twice so we can hardly tell DS he can't now he is the age they go.

It won't break the bank so mustn't complain too much.
  • Miserable day here. Will this rain ever stop?

Heating on all day again but it's so cold.

£6 paid to the window cleaner
£2.69 spent in FF for milk and bread.

DH is away with pasta and meatballs for dinner tonight at work and I have a chicken hot pot in the slow cooker for dinner tonight.

I have the most awfull pain in the bone above my right eye. I have taken painkillers but it's not helping.

House is starting to get messy again but I haven't any energy to bother with it.

Plan to have a bath before dinner then if I feel better start clearing up if not then I will just head to bed and try and sleep the pain away.
  • Well the pain went away about an hour ago.

DH on a late shift again so this morning I made a pasta bake for him. I was in such pain I had to keep going back to bed and setting the timer to remind me to go back and check on the oven.

I managed to do the dishes and put a washing on and get a load dried and put away this morning as well.

DH took DS put to get some specific clothes he needed for assembly next week so £10 spent on that.

£5 spent in FF in getting packed lunch stuff for kids.

Just had lunch and back in bed as still tired.

Work tomorrow so need to sort my bag and clothes at some point.
