    Happy Friday Morning..

I have on quick question for my lovely mse'ers who are self managing...

When sending your i & e to your creditors did it include the complete list of you debts, as in how much you owe, who to, and all the offers of token payments.. basically meaning all your creditors know what you owe to who and how much your paying..????

The reason I have yet to post my letters is I am unsure whether they should have all this info????

Having spoken to PRAT yesterday they asked did I have other creditors so presumably didn't have all this info from SC.. And I don't want them to start arguing now about who gets what....

    Please someone help....!!!!!!!

    Morning Puzz :)

I have not been totally consistent with this but I have learned over the last few years that we can get away with giving them much less than they ask and if it is a DCA they really need or want next to nothing, just confirmation from us that the agreed payment is affordable.

The difficulty you have I think is the NEDCAB format. I haven't used it but guess it follows the usual OTT I&E breakdown which would mean listing all predators and the balances and amounts they are receiving. I myself detest this so I have never used these 'planners' and constructed my own spreadsheet, making it look how I wanted it to look. Sometimes I have 'bent' figures and sometimes I have shown the debts as one lump and invented a total monthly payment to keep it simple. I am always careful with the Gnats Vest as they look at credit files in real time but in honesty if they have a nice looking I&E from you they will agree it likely without even bothering to check anything.

If you are simplifying a format like NEDCAB and '!!!!!!!ising' it, crossing parts out or leaving boxes blank then it may look a bit suspect and some school leaver may raise it with their boss and we don't need that :).,

What we need is something that easily allows the predators to 'tick their box' and be happy that they cannot be pulled up in an audit from the regulator. That is all they care about.....nothing else!!

Hope it goes smoothly Puzz. Don't be toooooo conscientous ....remember, they don't care as long as they aren't pulled up, fined and appear in the papers :). Give them the bare minimum you feel they require to stay happy.

No first hand experience myself but Brogden gives such clear and detailed advice and when/if I'm ever brave enough to take the self-managed route he'd be my first port of call for advice:T

What I think is, leave it as it is. If they don't like it they'll be in touch with you soon enough to let you know what else they want/need. No need to give them too much at this stage if you don't feel comfortable with it;)

    Good Luck:beer:

    A weekend update...

In the middle of domestic goddess duties so will be brief..

    What's been happening..

Well PRAT managed to come up with the paperwork luckily before I had posted my letters for my new sm dmp.. I had included them in the i & e anyway but needed to send them the I am doing it myself letter.. I rang them and they were quite lovely.. and I also discussed the default situation with them and apparently I was defaulted by BC last year so they are marking my file incorrectly and it should show a default next month.. I will be watching...

So letters all off to creditors yesterday so now I wait....

    Other news...

OH has offered to pay for dd and I to go on holiday in the summer.... she doesn't want to and I have been saving for a laptop for her so I suggested he buy the laptop and I can pay for my own holiday with lovely mother in the winter..... I have a variety of relatives coming to stay over the next few months and also dd's A levels, 18th birthday etc and hadn't really thought about more than a few days with mother but maybe we can do something.. I will keep you posted..

Off to clean the bathroom..oh joy.....

Disappointing PRAT came up with the CCA - but you are no worse off than you were before you sent off for it. Worth trying every avenue though.

Great news about OH paying for holiday/laptop for DD. Time with mum is precious so definitely book something with your mum and the pair of you enjoy yourself and a bit of spoiling yourself wouldn't be amiss ;)

    Take care -x-

Happy Monday..:j Well it is for me as I have a cheeky day off.. and do you know what I have hardly done anything...!! Well 3 loads of washing and put the recycling out but that is about it.. lazy puzz...

House guest arrives Wednesday, but only for 4 nights so not too bad....

    Money News..

dd has had a spend up and the clothes pot is now nearly empty.. luckily I had £30 of 20's and 50's to pay in so have been to do that..

Nectar up to £122, doing surveys and making the most of all the points offers that keep appearing..

One Poll.. £34.25...Can be cashed out at £40..

I am having second thoughts about any sort of holiday having chatted with friends at the weekend about the amount of money they are having to sub uni kids... At the current rate I will have finished paying off my lovely mother loan in December but if I didn't go on holiday I could pay this off early and then I would be £200 a month better off.. briefly until dd starts uni... Oh well no rush to make a decision as flights don't open until mid April for the cheap as chips orange flight....

Fit and Fabulous February has yet again taken a back seat... I am soooo lazy...will try and kick myself onto the treadmill this evening...I managed to lose a whole 1lb last week and that's a bit rubbish....

Right off to make up house guest's bed and then pick up dd, save her being blown away in this wind...

    Hello Puzz,
just had a quick catch up. Well done for going self managed - I hummed and haa'ed for ages before finally just deciding to self manage, although I called SC and did an I&E through them, which they emailed me and together with sample letters and all the creditors have been pretty good so far and frozen interest and accepted pro- rata payment offers. I do feel that I'm in control though (as I naughtily have kept 1 CC back for emergencies, and for internet purchases etc), which SC would not have allowed.

Re fit and fabulous feb - for me its been difficult so more like unfit and flabulous, though I have tried getting on the treadmill at least 3x a week.

    Happy Hump Day..

Hi Noah, Thanks for popping by! You are doing better at me with the treadmill.. must do better....!!!

Nothing very exciting to report, house guest arrives tonight so need to make up the bed..

Am currently doing the slowest survey possible on one poll.. but I have gone over the £35 mark now so we're getting there.. also received another £2 L2shop vouchers from RM surveys..so they are now up to £25 towards Christmas 2016.. not bad as its only the 10th Feb..:T

More money news.. Lovely mother gave me my very old premium bonds recently as in 40+ years old. I signed up online, what a palaver.. and cashed them in, they haven't won anything in 40 years they are worth more to me in money.. a whole £27.....:D

Planning on starting my fit and fabulous again on Monday as it will all go to pot having a house guest with meals out etc....

Right off to crack on with this survey and see what others are around... and do some work of course..:rotfl:

Sounds good Puzz but I only do quite easy gentle exercise - brisk walk for 1.5 miles, I figure it's better than nothing:o
Survey totals are looking good. I wish I had the patience! I did start but got very frustrated when I used to regularly get part way through a survey and then be told I wasn't eligible
Why not make that decision at the beginning rather than 5-10 mins in?
