    Happy Monday...:j

Glad the work day is done... I spoke to my colleague about why I was upset and think we have it all sorted now.... Just have to wait until I find out which team I am in, but big boss says 99.9% the one I want so will have to keep fingers crossed...

4 days until payday.. not that I am counting or anything...!!

No time at the weekend to study NEDCAB and have been out all day so hopefully will find some time later or tomorrow...

Have booked OH's flights he is off to Oz for 3 weeks in march/April... girls house...:D We still have no holiday plans, lovely mother is still hopeful that we can do something later in the year. I am hopeful I will win £87m on the lottery tomorrow...

One Poll now up to £32.30 and Nectar at £117+ .. really must try and get on with some more surveys..!!!

Can't believe it is nearly the end of January, must get my *rse into gear in February with my resolutions...!!!

    Morning ....

So I have been on to NEDCAB this morning and downloaded the letter I need to send to SC to cancel my current dmp...:( I sort of feel like I'm losing a friend, but do want to take over myself and be the grown up that I am...!!! So I am doing it..!!

Have plans to send the letter at the end of the month so that my payment to them goes on 1st feb and then they can pay creditors for final time on 5-7th February. I hope this is enough time for them to send me all the bits I need but have printed off what is currently showing for my creditors/debts etc... Not sure what will happen to the PRAT's payment this month but its only £30ish so I expect it will turn up somewhere if they don't want it..!!

After I receive info from SC I will write to each creditor to advise them of my new debt management company... ME. :rotfl: I am currently not planning on changing the payments offered so hope for a smooth and graceful changeover... New bank account set up purely for creditors, just waiting for my online access and then will be ready to sort standing orders...

Right best get on with the job I am paid to do now....

p.s. Brogs if you are reading this I would love to stay at the Ritz... sorry.... But I don't want a speedboat or a jet ski..:D

In between doing some work, I have been out and bought a new money book.. I still have the one I had from 2008 until 2013 when I entered the dmp. Each month I would record the balance and then how much it had gone down, or usually up from the month before!

It will be nice to always see them go down now and I am much better with pen & paper than a spreadsheet...Have also calculated out what debts should be after feb's payments have gone through... May need to call SC to get dd cancelled, might do that pre sending the letter..

    Exciting...:D

Not a lot to report in today... soggy and windy weather.. you can tell its January.. although its preferable to that horrible white stuff we get sometimes...!!!

January is nearly finished, blimey that went quick.... Payday is almost upon us, payslip out today so have just done my books and with no water or council tax to pay I have what feels like tons of extra £££'s to allocate to my different pots when it actually lands in my bank account..

Ending the month £41 up.. but have now got 2 school trips to pay for.. so that will be £4 up then....!!! Oh well at least its still in the positives...!

Got loads of paperwork/codes/secret numbers etc for new basic bank account so need to sit down and sort it online....

have also got £20 of 20p's to bank.. when I get there.... probably go into the clothes budget for dd..

Still no lottery win, but I'm hopeful...:D

I have been searching my diary for this post and finally found it on 23 January 2015..

Right I have been playing with figures...

As of today I have 90 months left on my dmp if everything stays as it is... so this is what I have based my milestones on.. Now I know life happens and everything rarely goes to plan but it is always good to have something to aim at..

    So...

Assuming life stays the same..and I don't up my payments at all to my dmp (which is unlikely..)

    November 2013 Starting debt £60062

In January 2015 I have paid off 13.3% and have 90 months left
In January 2016 I will hit the mid 40k's and have paid off 25%
In January 2017 I will have fallen into the high 30k's
In January 2018 I will have paid nearly 50% off...
In January 2019 i will be in the mid 20k's
In January 2020 I will be in the high teen k's....
In January 2021 I will have paid off 80%
In January 2022 I will have 7% left to pay and be under 5k...

Well that's all looking lovely, just got to hope that life doesn't throw too many curved balls at me on the way...!!

And we are currently running to plan..:D

    Hi Puzz

Loving the forward look at your DMP progress....reminds me of me counting those chickens ;):)

No council tax and water rates - don't you just love Feb and March. I also feel mega rich with this extra bit of cash to stash. I don't have any trips to pay for (fortunately), but am stashing it away in the emergency fund.

I watched a programme once (can't remember what it was) and I remember seeing they were sorting stuff out in an old house (very big old house mind you) and they found the owners 'account' books, which recorded all the income and expenditure for year after year. I now have visions of your 'money book' being found in years to come and with terminology ever-changing they will be trying to work out what DMP means:rotfl:
