2nd Jan.. Spendy day.... Got online with dd.. ordered 2 pairs of shoes £84... a jumper... £40.... and underwear.. £32... She hasn't had any new clothes/items for ages and is very much in need...!!! We still have some money left in the clothes savings so I will encourage a little more buying later in the month..

I read this and thought OMG !! Puzz has fallen of the DFW wagon, but then realised was for DD. Therefore spendy day ok :)

Today.. Gosh it soggy...! Dishwasher ran out of salt and not working properly, cue Puzz rushing off to sainbobs this morning.. got salt.. still not working.. cue OH on floor generally making a mess.... Result.. one broken dishwasher. Oh well I only use it maximum 3 days a week so will be washing up by hand for awhile until we decide what to do...

Oh dear. If our dishwasher broke I would have to take him to A&E:rotfl: (We do have an actual dishwasher machine, but rarely use it as there are only 2 of us and DH is so good at washing up)

Hi January, Lovely to see you.. I am keeping up with your diary, apologies I must post...!

So now 6 days into the New Year... January will be gone before we know it...!!

So far I have managed to have a dodgy eye.. 31st dec to 2nd Jan and now have gathered a bug.. so am home today although I feel better today than I did Monday/Tuesday.. Hopefully I can get all illnesses out of the way this month and be healthy, wealthy and .. umm.. wise for the rest of the year..!!!

Not a lot been happening really.. trying to be good food wise but not started on the exercise due to the bug... that will be weekend/next weeks mission....!!!

Have organised first girls night of the year, not until February though so may shift a few pounds before then.... Have also seen lovely mother again as she has taken up the idea of just popping in... no, don't be doing that....!!! Will organise lunch with her soon.

No money news.. more spends on clothes for dd as she is planning on attending her first proper party.. an 18th... must not think about it, she is 17 after all and I was up to all sorts at her age....!!! We have an appointment with the GP on Friday about her anxiety but I suspect this may get cancelled we shall see.. On the upside or downside she is back to being friends with the BF, better for her at school but she is a nightmare so does my anxiety no good whatsoever.. never mind hopefully in 9 months time they will be trotting off to separate uni's and then I can have a whole lot of other things to worry about...!!!

So nothing very exciting to report from the Puzz household which is probably a good thing...!!

So much for feeling better.. I seem to have got the monster cold that just keeps giving...!!! I am all variations of the 7 dwarfs.. sneezy, snotty, dozey, coughy.. you get the picture.... 4 bad nights sleep this week.... Roll on bedtime...!

I was hoping to be up and fit today but having been awake since 1am with all the above symptoms I have called in sick for the 3rd day running... boo... Never mind hopefully it will do one over the weekend and I will be bouncing around like tigger on Monday....:) Even better would be a huge lottery win so I can stay home for ever...:D

So no exciting news as I have been nowhere and seen no one except my immediate family of course.. its ever so boring being poorly...

I do have another social date in my diary with work.. didn't feel I could decline as I didn't go last time... So that's one for January and one for February...

DD's hair booked for Sunday.. now will she have it done.. we shall see...The money has been stashed since the summer...!

No weekend plans unsurprisingly except the hairdressers on Sunday and I need to get to my bank to pay some money in..

The only positive of being ill and having no sense of taste is I have managed to lose 3lbs.. so only 4 to go then..:rotfl: I'm sure I will bump them back on when I'm well...! And hopefully can get on the treadmill next week as well, dd is putting us to shame as she has been on it everyday whilst I have been sleeping...

    That's all for now..

Puzz is back..:j And finally feeling less snotty....!!!

So not a whole lot to report as I have done very little...!!! Weekend was a bit drab... dd didn't want to go to hairdressers so my savings stay put for now.... Just at home really with my monster cold...

Working this week, 6 days until my interview.. Have booked the day off.. interview is at 10am then lovely mother is taking me out to lunch.....

Lovely mother also wants to book a trip.. she fancied a week... No thanks...!!! I said a few nights maybe, but can't really commit to dates etc at the moment will have a think on this one...!!!

Received another £5 L2shop voucher from RM surveys and currently doing two more so another £10 to come next month... Still plugging away at onepoll, now over the £30 mark so hope to get payout before spring...!!

No money news..16 days until payday...

Good to hear your cold is on its way out:beer:

I do those RM surveys too and never know what to do with the L2Shop vouchers:o. I usually use them at Wilkos for toiletries, detergents etc to eke out the general budget. Oh yes, I also get my hair dye from there.

I don't really buy/give many gifts nowadays and Christmas is a non-event for us (sorry about that Puzz, I know how much you love Christmas;)). I thought maybe this year I'd make a real effort budget-wise (although I can't think how as it's trimmed to the bone already and some:eek:) and save my vouchers to treat myself with something special at the end of the year:think:

    Good luck with your interview:)

    Thank you cbc. x

:j Its Friday.....:j Always time for a happy dance...!!!

So dd had been invited to an 18th party tonight but as it stands she doesn't want to go :D So I think the plan is to buy a movie off SKY.. well OH will buy it..! and I'm cooking her favorite tea of roast gammon......

This morning my rear indicator went... but its fixed already with a quick pop to Halfords.. Also met a girl working there who dd went to school with previously and we chatted. I didn't realise until I checked my receipt later that she had given me staff discount so saved me £5.50 :T I got my rear wiper done at the same time as its rubber has been hanging off for at least 2 months now...!

Winter has finally set in and the heating has been on almost constant with me being here most of the time... did meter readings this morning and still £300+ in credit so all good...:T

Nothing exciting planned for the weekend, best get my head stuck in some books ready for next weeks interview

Have purchased my £1 postal order and I am going to CCA the Pra(t) group who bought my BC debt.. It isn't a big debt but I do suspect it is unenforceable.. I am more than happy to pay it but would like a default.. so maybe I can gain a bargaining tool...!! We shall see...!!

    Right off to some work....

  • I do admire people like you who get on with CCAing. I've had various aspects of doing it explained to me several times and I still don't seem to be able to get my head round it:o

I understand the bit about sending off the £1 fee for the paperwork but I don't understand why we can claim for some of the debts being unenforceable and not others. And do we write to the original creditors for the paperwork (CC companies like MBNA in my case) or the current collectors (LINK in this case)? These particular debts have already been defaulted. I'm not usually this dim:o. Well, I don't think I am;)

Have a lovely evening with DD. Sounds like fun:beer:. And how nice to get an unexpected bonus from Halfords:T

    Hi cbc,

I'm not knowledgeable about the CCA think either, but have been following January's thread and thought . what the *ell..!! I am more than happy to pay back all my debts as I did accrue them, although one can argue that a lot of it is actually interest but with this particular debt it hasn't been defaulted and that's what I really want..

It is one of my smallest debts so if they can enforce it and then get all cross about it, I can probably raise enough to get rid quick..!
You CCA who owns the debt now as it is down to them to ensure they have the correct paperwork... I will keep you posted on how I get on....!!!

Good luck with the CCA Puzz. As you say, it may be a strong bargaining tool to use against BC. I'll be following your progress.

I hope my MBNA debt is unenforceable - I do feel a bit guilty even thinking that way, but to be honest if it is unenforceable I can throw more at the ones that are enforceable for now. Every bit will help.

Have a great week - oh, and I think your cold has landed in January Towers ;)
