:j So its Tuesday... unfortunately I didn't lose Monday and had a very busy day but its done now...!
So dd had a relaxing weekend and seems to be doing okay about the situation when not in school, so bad mother that I am I have allowed her a little sneaky duvet day.. well days as she is here today as well.... She is like me and suffers anxiety and I find a little r & r can do wonders.. she will be going back in tomorrow and fingers crossed will be able to do her lessons and chat with her other friends without feeling uncomfortable if the 'friend' is in the same room.. it is just over 2 weeks until the friends 18th birthday of which we are suppose to be attending a meal.... evil me hopes we don't have to go as I have saved £100 towards it......:rotfl: Will keep you posted...!!!
My boy cat has also come down poorly, dd rang me whilst I was at work yesterday to tell me OH had tried to catch him but he'd run away but thought he had hurt his back.. well he ran away from me as well but I managed to get him in late afternoon and he then hid under our bed all night.. OH spent quite a lot of time lying on the floor next to him talking during the evening... he does love animals that one...! woke this morning and said cat was lying on the bed and has eaten breakfast but is not right but doesn't have any obvious injuries so I have kept them in today.. so I have dd and two cats at home...
Money news.. got payslip from new employer... overpaid...:T wow Christmas bonus? welcome gift? No... tax error... oh well... so I need to save that in one of my pots so I can pay myself next month when it is corrected....at least mine was only £178.. my colleague got £860...
Have squirreled away another £20 to put towards my work christmas do, meal is already paid for so just drinks and taxi.. also got £30 towards my girls meal which shouldn't be too much at the local curry house and of course the £100 for the 18th meal which at the moment looks most unlikely to be attending and would I be able to keep my mouth closed.... ummmm......
Have £25 to go into my dd's 21st NY pot and that's about it so far.. will see if any pennies left at the end of the week......
Did some more :xmastree: shopping on sunday and bought a pair of black trousers using a birthday gift card I had.. still no new work tops....
Also booked some more days off as I have quite a lot of leave but can't take much over Christmas as my colleagues have snaffled it so I will have a short week next week and get my :xmastree: up ready for visitors next Friday and Saturday..
Have now got plans for Christmas and will be going for part of the day to my brothers with lovely mother and my lovely nieces so that will be good, just got to discuss which bit of the meal I am buying as we usually share the cost..
So Puzz better get off here and get on with some work now...!!

Morning Puzz,
Hope that the duvet days help DD switch off from the situation - some teenage girls are really horrid, have been there with my DD too, so hard to see as a parent. Roll on uni - there you get to choose who you want to hang out with!
Sounds like you are all organised for Christmas. Yesterday it was months away and now suddenly there's only a 4 weeks so it will be the usual panic for me :rotfl:
I am procrastinating at the moment, wondering where to start. have until Thursday to get house in order - then working until Christmas
Lots to do as I have let it all go to pot the last few weeks.
Have a lovely day:)

Good Morning/Afternoon now...
The mystery of the sickly puss has been discovered, having finally come out from under the bed.. (I have been feeding him, honest...) he allowed me to stroke him and has a huge lump in his tail.. presumably a bite? So guess where we are off to at lunchtime today assuming I can get him in the cat box.... OH will be paying and hopefully its something that can be treated quickly with an anti b jab... what is it with boys and fighting..!!!
DD is back to school today, not sure she's having much fun but at least she's back and on short days for the rest of the week.. then only 2 weeks until they break up for the holidays...
Have finished ordering the rest of dd's 'big' presents, so that's half my budget gone... although I have done about 50% now so should manage okay.. Have stopped saving voucher for Christmas 2015 and started for 2016 now... £5 L2S in the envelope and i'm currently working on 2 RM surveys so another £10 before the end of the year...
Don't need petrol this week so £20 free... will allocate into a pot...
And payday in 2 days...:j Still got about £30 ish so will split between NY and RAC assuming it is not spent before then...!!
90% of work done for the month so will complete the rest tomorrow or Friday. and the really good news is my boss.. remember I am a good egg.. has got the new boss job..:T
OH going away to work for about 10 days so I will be eating out of the freezer, sleeping star shaped in a lovely non man bed...all looking good if I can just get dd and the cat sorted.....!!

Wrote this before you posted just before me. Our postings must have crossed in cyberspace:rotfl:. Will leave it anyway.
Glad to hear you might have diagnosed Puss's problem. My neutered tom is very territorial and won't tolerate any other cats on his patch. This is a rural area, we're surrounded by fields and there are lots of un-neutered feral farm tomcats around. My boy stands his ground, fuzzes his fur up and makes a heck of a lot of noise to repel interlopers but that doesn't wash with a battle-scarred feral tom:eek:. My boy has been attacked a lot of times, I can always tell when he's come off worst from a skirmish as, although there are often no obvious visible wounds, he tends to slink off somewhere quiet, goes off his food and dislikes human contact.
It usually rights itself in a day or two, it takes a lot to keep him down, but once he had to be an in-patient at the vet's for 3 days on a drip etc all because of blood-poisoning from a puncture wound from a cat:(. Was over a bank holiday too and involved extra costs for having to call the vet out specially. Cost a fortune but he's worth every penny:j
I hope your puss will soon be on the mend without breaking the bank:beer:0 -
Happy Monday...
Well actually its Wednesday for me as I'm doing a short week..:j
So...
Thanks carbootcrazy for your cat chat...!! My boy is doing well now and I have let him back outside with his baldy tail....!!!
The weekend rushed past in a blur as they do.. nothing achieved except a bit of housework and online shopping..!
:xmastree: tree is going up on Thursday, I just need to get it all down from the loft with dd's help after school... OH is going away tomorrow morning at 4am.. so I shall be tired and grumpy tomorrow as he can't do anything quietly...!
DMP/Money News..
I am now 2 years into my dmp.. the time has absolutely flown, and it is still the very best thing I did to get rid of these pesky debts...!!
The balance was £60062 at the start and as of 1 December it will be £45848.... that's nearly a 1/4 done....!!! :T I still love my dmp....... even though I would like to get rid of it sooner rather than later...!!! I will finish paying my lovely mother loan the end of 2016 but suspect I will need to pay some or all of that over to dd for uni.. we shall see...!!
I ended the pay month with £23 so put £10 each into NY and RAC fund, I also transferred what I would pay for water into my new MUM TRIP fund which is doing something with lovely mother next year..
Still :xmastree: shopping, I shall go out Friday probably and try and get most of what is left done.... I seem to be picking up parcels from all over the place at the moment..!!
One thing I did do yesterday was have my hair cut.. I loath getting my hair cut as it always looks horrible, and yesterday was no exception.. on the upside it was so windy it didn't really matter..:rotfl: and cost £30 so not too bad.. just got to get dd's done next...
Right off to check my work site and then sign off for the day..

Oh Puzz I love having my hair done. It's my 'spoil myself' treat. Lovely head massage and just relax and let worries disappear (well for an hour or so
).
I used to have my hair cut and coloured at the salon. Now I only have wash, cut and dry. I buy the colour in a box at Boots (or wherever happens to be cheapest). The colour I have to do every six to eight weeks but the cut I have s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d out since first week of September - which is a massive 12 weeks :j
It's strange I am happy about not having a regular hair cut every six weeks any more. However, now you have made look more closely in the mirror and I will have to get to the salon sometime this week because (and I really have only just realised this) my hair looks awful:eek:
Enjoy the space whilst your OH is away (you didn't say how long he was going for). I'm sure you and your DD will enjoy some time just the two of you together. You seem to have a very strong and close relationship with her
2 years into your DMP and almost 1/4 gone already. That is amazing. I've said it before, but I'll say it again - you really are inspirational to new DMPer's like me.
Enjoy your short week at work as well
Have a great TuesdayDFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -
Morning, all:coffee:
I'm maybe tempting fate but the gales have abated and the rain, for now at least, has stopped:j. The roof-covering on one of the sheds has lifted and split quite a lot and needs repairing/replacing but that's one of OH's jobs and one of his few expenses;)
My December StepChange payment has now been paid so that's another month nearer to Debt Freedom, only 44 months to go:j.
I now owe £31916 which would terrify most people but considering what it started at gives me reason to have a little smile:). After my March payment (there I go, wishing my life away again:o) I'll owe less than £30000:j. It's been a long time coming but well worth the slog.
Happy December, Puzz and everyone:beer:0
