    Hello Puzz,
Haven't caught up with all your posts but sounds like you had a nice week socially:)
I'm all fired up to start getting fitter - small steps and whatever I can do. Last couple of weeks have been very stressy (thanks for popping over with your hugs X:AX) so I have put on a couple of junk snack food pounds:(
    Weighing in at 10s 12lb.
Aim going to try 2 x 10 mins per day on the stepper plus bendy stretches and star jumps!
Cheer me on and join in if you feel like! want to treat myself to new pair of jeans.
    xx
    Love n Hugs

SNOW.... I hate the stuff and really could do without it this week with 2 evenings of driving around to do.... but on the upside its melted now, so if it could just stay away.....

Last night turned into a right disaster.. my plan of starting my NY was twarted (sp) by dd causing me no end of anxiety.. I was in place for her lift as requested and 45 minutes she still wasn't with me.. her phone is broken, she has one of mine but with the sound off.. she eventually answers and turns out she is chatting with 'the boy' who she has long late night chats with, doesn't want to come home yet.. I'm due to go out again.. anyway the long and the short, I go home, cancel my plans and then tell her i'm picking her up at 6.. She was absolutely frozen.. silly mare.. I have said I'm not doing that again.. she needs to learn to communicate and make arrangements..

So no exercise done last night and no visit... Tonight I will get on that treadmill.....

Bit sad now.. I started reading a diary from 2009 and found myself on it.. so have now started reading my original diary from 2009. (under a different name..) I was only.. only..
35k in debt then and my planned dfd was 2015.. how sad is that.. Its now 2015 and I ended up owing 62k before I finally found the answer...Oh well at least I did find the answer and hopefully will get to finish this time...

OH is having a snow day and is snoring on the sofa.. :rotfl:At least its better than sky news blaring out on repeat....

Still waiting for my L2shop voucher but am nearly half way onto my next one with ipsos... one poll £34.35 so getting there..slowly...

    Nothing else exciting to report.

  • In some ways, I was even worse. I truly believed I was debt free apart from my mortgage. I'd forgotten the two mortgage uplifts to cover off personal debt.

Another chilly one here, but no snow so that's a positive..:D

Nothing to report really, Just done my banking and all adds up, only another 3 weeks to payday.. I do love a short month...!
SC 16th payment has left the account and in 21 days i should get into the 51k's...

Still haven't got on the treadmill.. I'm not even going to say I will do it today as then I would have to admit another failure if I don't... playing mum cab tonight so in and out a bit... Roll on 9.30 when we are safely tucked up back at home... Still not certain what dd's plans are for tomorrow night, do I get to chill or play taxi.. I know which option I prefer....

Right off to nose round the diaries...

  • Afternoon Puzz,

Ooooh that was abit of a downer reading your old diary. I think alot of us have done that also. I actually became debt free in 2011 but that was from moving house and consolidating. Because I felt no pain from sorting out the debt, I spent the next two years getting us back into 20k's worth of debt .

I truly believe this time round it will be different as this journey has been super painful and I am only half way through it :o.

Don't look back - Keep marching forward. We will all get there.

Hope you are home in the warm soon after being lovely mum's taxi tonight. I have two treatments to do this evening and keep feeling in a negative mood about it because I don't want to have to go out again, but I have to keep reminding myself that its another £70 into the emergency fund.

    Keep smiling xxx

    Hi Puzz

It must be odd to go back and read your old diaries - you've come such a long way I wonder what you now think you would/could do differently. Hopefully one day that will be me reading my 'old diaries' and thinking 'now why on earth did I do that' - or 'why didn't I listen to that advice'....or hopefully 'thank goodness I did that'

You've made my day by pointing out it's a short month - I've been so busy sorting out bank accounts, setting up DMP etc. etc. I just forgot. I'm so pleased pay day is sooner than I realised and even more importantly it will be going to an account that has black, instead of red, writing on the page :)

    Hi January,

I still remember in the early days of starting my dmp the amazement of having an account not in overdraft.. I can't remember anytime in life when it wasn't..! Its the little things that keep us smiling...! :D

My diary was sad as my dd was turning 10 and it was all the run up to her party and it was also the year she went up to secondary and my sister emigrated.. and I thought I would be debt free by now.... Oh well as you say, at least I can look back on this one in years to come and say... I DID IT....:D
