  • Well done on tackling the treadmill - I stand in awe of you Puzz :)

I am overweight, underheight and not motivated - but I am getting there. I have decided to tackle llbs whilst tackling the £s and hopefully both will reduce faster than I ever knew they could :)

I can imagine it's very satisfying to receive statements with 0% interest on there - better than any of the current CC 0% offers I bet :rotfl:

Do you get paper statements or online statements? We currently have all online statements but I wondered if that would change once DMP in place - not sure if online access to accounts becomes limited in any way.

Hope you had a Terrific Tuesday...and wishing you a Wonderful Wednesday

    Hi January,

Thank you for the wonderul wednesday wishes.. it hasn't been too bad so far...!!

I did have mostly online accounts pre dmp but they either were closed or didn't work afterwards... with the exception of BC who I can still access..! I get monthly statements from all 7 of my cc's and yearly one's from my old bank for my od and loan accounts. I also keep a check on them all through NODDLE.. which is free if you haven't signed up yet...!

Good luck with the £ and lb busting..

    Tired now.....

Up early doors to get OH up and then dd off to work.. Back home to do the HS3vacuumsm.gif and HSwash.gif and washed the wooden floors, cleaned the bathroom and currently tumbling my bedding (yes I know.. but how else do you get bedding dry in the winter...!) have swished a few wipes round the kitchen and now could do with rest.gif...

But have to leave in 45 minutes to go and collect dd, and then am playing mum taxi for her into town... hopefully be home by 6 so can put my feet up and refuse to do anything else today..

Tomorrow I am going to tackle my dirty oven....

Need to start getting organised for my city break with lovely mother as that's only 2 1/2 weeks away.... Have started writing lists.. love a good list...! She is paying for the hotel and her friend is being our taxi driver this end which she will also pay for.. I have the cash to pay for the taxi collecting us from the airport the other end and am hoping if I cash up £300 into euro's this will be enough for a few meals/drinks etc... Hoping to bring some back so it can go straight into summer hol 2015 jar....

Keep thinking of things I need to pay for/purchase like.. dd's hair and mine really needs doing.. dd needs a new phone charger.. Need to start a saving pot for car breakdown cover which will need renewing in June... etc.. the list is never ending.... And its OH's birthday just after I'm back from my little trip... wonder what to buy him......need to get my thinking head on..

Right best keep moving... catch you later...

Well done Puzz on your many minutes on the treadmill :T

Have done a little bit most days but not as muc as you, am just trying to do some every day even if just for 5-10 mins, so am happy. Will try and build up to 15 a day next week. Have also cut down tea/coffee to 1-2 a day and drinking hot water rest of the time - feeling a bit better on it!

    Keep going !!!:T:T:T

    Hi Noah,

Thanks for dropping by, I know your very busy at the moment... Well done on the keeping moving.. I have to say that I haven't noticed any difference in myself but then maybe I am a little impatient for results.. Not sure a stone is going to fall off after 90 minutes exercise...!!

Will aim to do more next week....

    Take care. x

Sunday... already.. but I have another one tomorrow so all relaxed in the puzz household...!!

Have cleaned the oven this morning.. I know I should do it more often and then it wouldn't be quite so .. but its one of those jobs I hate doing and I made a decision..... I worked out that if I clean the oven twice a year.. That's 14 more cleans if my dfd stays the same.... I can then pay someone to come and clean it.... or maybe just buy a new one and then pay someone....I won't though as I won't want to part with my cash....!! But it was a thought.....

Bought myself a book in Town yesterday for my trip away, used a gift card dd bought me for my birthday last July and then let her use the rest towards her books.. I have another one that she bought me for christmas which I will use for books for my summer holiday..

Todays other job is just the ironing as usual and I'm going off to T*sco to spend my vouchers. Tomorrow dd wants to go to a different branch to where she works so she can browse... = ££££ no doubt.... and I am going to wash down the porch and front door etc.. as long as its not raining..

    :jThe weekend starts today...:j

4 days off and then back for a week and then a week off... :j

In other news.... I've been doing an online FREE OU course in ... don't laugh.. managing money.... Its an 8 week course and we are now in week 7.. Its covered debts, budgets, mortgages, insurance etc and the best one... pensions.. this one was really good, a real eye opener...! I'm lucky in that I have paid into my work pension for 20 years so far and due to the Government keep moving my retirement date away will no doubt be paying for another 20 years... On the upside it does then give me a jolly decent pension.. assuming I live that long.. :rotfl:

I've just started another one..course that is not pension... Obesity.. now I'm not quite at that stage yet.. just a little tubby but it is interesting to try and learn new things and challenge your own perceptions of the world.... So brain is getting a work out...Body isn't as I stil feel a little under par today so have skipped the treadmill.... naughty puzz....

Out for lunch with lovely mother tomorrow and my niece, dd is staying home as she is trying to plough through all her coursework... Mum's cab was on the road earlier but OH is on duty for pick up from work for dd later...

No money news.... One poll up to £39.30...

2 weeks today off with lovely mother for city break...

    That's about it folks...
