    Very limited news today...

    2 days to payday.. :j
Cancellation done for dd's big trip and no extra costs involved.. just need to remove £350 from OH to pay back lovely mother...and tell lovely mother.. not looking forward to that bit....she's a little opinionated shall we say..

Received one of my vouchers so christmas stash up to £10.. :T

Paid in my £10 of 20p's but forgot to get new bags and I have more to change up.... also updated my other saving book and had £100 more than I though so funds growing for summer 2015 holiday...:D

Bank has £20.76 left. .unfortunately I owe £20 to another account.. so 0.76p..... best not have a spending spree before Thursday...! I do have £45 cash and dd's not going to cinemas so that's saved me £10.. just dinner with lovely mother tomorrow to pay for...

Right I'm off to do something productive...

:jPayday is finally here....!!! And I've received my payrise.. :j okay let's not get carried away.. its probably about £30ish a month, haven't done the sums yet.. but I don't care any upward movement in income is very welcome in this day and age...

So todays jobs.. go and do some work...... and then sit and do my monthly budget and move my money into the appropriate savings pots....

Went out to dinner with lovely mother last night, she does seem much better so I'm more relaxed now.... I told her about the cancelled trip and she was fine with it.. I told her we will pay her back the deposit, but she didn't really mention it again, but as OH is paying it I will return it to her... She's also written in her will that her 'new' car is to go to me when she flies off to play angels.. more like devils knowing my mum... Now we all know that mum's live forever so we will probably both out live the car...!

Right must get on.. back later....

  • Morning Puzzcat,

Hooray for payday and the pay rise
I so wish hubby got paid monthly, it would be so nice and clean to allocate that block of money against all the bills, get lots of things paid in one go and then know for certain how much is left over for the rest of the month. Being weekly paid is such a constant juggle.

Glad lovely mum took the news about Dd cancelling the trip well, I was hoping she would have told you not to worry about the deposit, but best to pay her back I suppose.

Nice of her (if abit morbid) to say she is leaving her car to you in her will.

    Have a great day xxx

    Hi Steph,

I sort of get the best of both worlds as I get paid monthly but then OH pays his share weekly... when he's working of course...!!!

Lovely mother did pull one of her.. umm faces when I said about the deposit, so you never know but it won't benefit me will just leave OH with more savings..! She did also pull the same face when I was discussing financing dd through the first year of uni and still paying off my loan to her so you never know...!!!

Hope its warmer where you are, its freezing here....

Right... I'm deep_freeze.gif... might go and cuddle the towels now they have finished tumbling...!

Been and done my visits, the second one was rather overwhelming as they kept telling me how wonderful I was.. Obviously they are quite right in there observations and made me:D...

Have done the banking and transferred all the normal amounts into the saving pots.. have just left the remainder in my normal account for now whilst I sort out where my 'extra' is going... No c.tax, no water bill and a pay rise.... Gotta love February...!

Nothing planned for this evening, OH on shift so just me and dd home alone.. well just me alone as she will be upstairs with the ipad and tv for company... I will watch some drivel and eat fishcakes, not just any old fishcakes.. M & S yellow stickered one's no less...

:jFriday tomorrow and all in all, not a bad end to January in the Puzz household...

    Bye For Now..

    :jFriday...:j

    Not much to report...

    Money News..

Received a statement from my bank for my loan, all figures match with mine so that's all good.. This will be one of my early one's to fall off my dmp as it should be done and dusted in about 3.5 years... This was a a CONSOLIDATION loan.. didn't work did it...!!

Must sort out the excess money in my current account or I may get sloppy and start spending it.... Once it is safely in savings I don't like to touch...

    Work News..

Been into the office... 3 hours quite enough thank you.. although pleasant atmosphere today as the 'one who is least popular' was off sick... I hate getting dragged into the office politics amongst the women at work... Much prefer working with men..

    The weekend...

Friend coming over tomorrow evening, probably going out for a curry so shouldn't be too expensive as we will have drinks at home before and no doubt after...! So hangover booked for sunday then...

Mum's taxi will be on the road in the morning and then a day of housework is calling...

    Tonight...

Chilling in front of the tv.....

    Happy Weekend.. Nearly...

So another week begins.. and with a positive.. its February.. :j

The weekend goes so fast, blink and you miss it...

So Saturday up early and a drive in the pretty snow.. just flurrying around at 8.30am... then off to the supermarket, home, housework.. blah blah.. then off to collect dd.. friend round and we went out for a meal.. think I got slightly done over on the paying for this though... OH had given me £15 to get him a takeaway and my friend and I had a meat dish each, shared a rice and she had a veggie side dish, we shared some wine yet I paid £40 and she paid £20... ummm... not sure that was split very equally.. I did try to only put £35 in but somehow ended up paying £5 tip.. maybe that's why she has money and I don't....!

Yesterday I went and got my free 3 for £10 fresh meat from T*sco.. I love freebies and if you don't already know its to do with T*sco Orchard.. have a google... So was on track for a NSD, but alas dd needed an extension lead for her tv... so £7.48 spent... NSD scuppered...

Quiet week planned, mum's cab out again weds and thurs this week, so will look forward to friday, I'm sure it will be here in no time... Off out this evening to do a visit, and then home for dinner and an early night..

Lovely mother is so funny, I did remind her yesterday that she had said she will pay for the city break hotel as she has a wonderful habit of offering then forgetting.. so that's all sorted.. I had also bought her a book she wanted.. 34p.. + £2.80 postage and paid for another hold suitcase as sharing one was too complicated for her.... so she offers me £50...! I'm like, umm you are paying for the hotel so I think I should pay for the bag and the book was less than a £5.. I think we have decided to call it quits... see i'm silly turning down money that's why i'm poor...!

Nothing else to report, other than its bloomin freezing.. Roll on Half term when I have a few days off...

Forgot to add in all the excitement of it being February... I also managed to tick 3 'to do' items off my list this weekend...all cost money..

    So £33 Hold bag...
    £5 to dd's school for a trip...
£15 annual holiday insurance for both of us.. was going to do a single one for me for city break but that was £10 on its own... so now covered for both trips this year...

and I've spent £37  on eating out this last week..... good job I don't have any more social plans booked...!
