    :jThe weekend starts today...:j

4 days off and then back for a week and then a week off... :j

In other news.... I've been doing an online FREE OU course in ... don't laugh.. managing money.... Its an 8 week course and we are now in week 7.. Its covered debts, budgets, mortgages, insurance etc and the best one... pensions.. this one was really good, a real eye opener...! I'm lucky in that I have paid into my work pension for 20 years so far and due to the Government keep moving my retirement date away will no doubt be paying for another 20 years... On the upside it does then give me a jolly decent pension.. assuming I live that long.. :rotfl:

I've just started another one..course that is not pension... Obesity.. now I'm not quite at that stage yet.. just a little tubby but it is interesting to try and learn new things and challenge your own perceptions of the world.... So brain is getting a work out...Body isn't as I stil feel a little under par today so have skipped the treadmill.... naughty puzz....

Out for lunch with lovely mother tomorrow and my niece, dd is staying home as she is trying to plough through all her coursework... Mum's cab was on the road earlier but OH is on duty for pick up from work for dd later...

No money news.... One poll up to £39.30...

2 weeks today off with lovely mother for city break...

    That's about it folks...

Hi Puzz - I think you indicated that it may be OK to post on your thread :D.......so I'll see how it goes........:o

The state pension age being moved back does not affect when you can take your benefits from your employer's scheme :).

Currently you can do it from the age of 55.

    That means you've only got 34 years to go :) !!!:) !!!

    I hope that's good news :)

:D Hi Brogden, You finally braved the claws then...!! You are always most welcome to visit you know..!

I was aware of the age 55 rule, but am sure that the massive loss in pension for leaving early would make me a poor pensioner.. ! But who knows.. .my current plan is 60 as this is also the year the mortgage will have finished (if not earlier..) my dmp will be well behind me and hopefully I would have had a few good years of savings..... I'm certainly not hanging about until 68.....!!!!

So its friday.. usually a happy dance day for me.. :j.. but means my last day off and back to the grind next week.. boo....

Still today I have updated my freezer inventory which I will post up shortly.. No new YS items added....:j The only additions are homemade portions of meals..

I am heading off to the supermarket in a while to do the weekly food shop as usual... and dd has an extra shift at work tonight so mum's taxi will be on the road...

Less than a week till payday now... :j One poll now on 40p... so 1% done until next payout.. may be some time I think...

Getting organised for city break.. well I got the suitcase out the cupboard.... could really do with some new pj's, my nightware is shocking:eek: .. as is my underwear, but will see if I can stretch any pennies after payday..

Am officially fat now.. so am allowing myself until sunday evening and then its war...!! Although I may get on the treadmill later to while away the time between dropping and collecting dd.. I am not going to be a fat lump for my summer holiday...!!!

Hope all are having a good day...

Just salads to make shortly.. I'm then going to watch a bit of TV and head off to lovely mothers for a cup of tea before collecting dd.. she only lives 5 minutes from where dd works.. Just posted on another diary but wanted to keep a copy for me to look back on...

Quick background here.. Been with OH since 1996, planned baby dd born in 1998.. when I was 8 months pregnant OH decided he didn't want a baby.. He was an absolute g** for the next few months and left when she was 6 weeks old... I took him back when she was 4 months old and we continued to live in my house which I paid for until we split again in 2000.. I then bought a new house and somehow he ended up moving in with us... He has always led his own life socially and has his own hobbies that keep him busy.. I had dd...

So roll on to 2003 We finally buy a house together.. I find out he is cheating he denies it, but to be honest I think by this time I didn't really care.. That was 12 years ago and we are still plodding along... I have no idea what will happen when dd leaves home but I will hopefully have got rid of the huge debt from around my neck and can then think clearly what I would like to do..

Last night dd worked an extra shift so I was taxi.. OH was out.. we got in at 9.30 and watched some TV, he was due home at 11.. We went to bed at 10.30.. At 1am.. He falls through the front door and bashes around the kitchen.. He is always surprised that he wakes me up... I go back to bed... and then he comes up to bed with the cat.. yep I have naughty one's too and after falling over him he then proceeds to playfight with him on the bed.. Its now 2.30..... He then falls into a snoring sleep... Me I am wide awake, pushing him regularly to get him to stop and eventually getting up to make a cuppa and read my kindle.. Just dropping off at 4am.. and he gets up for a wee.... We all finally fall asleep about 4.30 and yes I am the only one up at 6.30 to get the cats sorted and dd for work....

The funny bit is when he woke up he was moaning about his leg.... He fell off his bike between the pub.. (5 mins away..) and home... and the noise he was making you would think it was broken.. sympathy.. I don't think so.... I left to take dd to work and he obviously managed to get his leg to work enough to pedal off for his day at work.. Oh joy..

So men.. who would have them.. and why would anyone want another one..???

Forgot to add OH also has an ex wife, she's no bother now and I have a lovely stepson...He wasn't lovely between 11 and 15!! Him and dd get on really well. And I have some wonderful friends, my fantastic dd and my lovely mother so not all bad!

Hope you have a fantastic evening Puzz, and well deserved.
You must have the patience of a saint and be a better person than me to have given OH all those chances!

Love Nachos, might do that for tonight too, as have DD home at the moment :) she's my best friend at the moment. Feel like I have lost touch with my friends somewhat, because don't often feel like seeing people. Promised myself I would make more of an effort this year.

Am trying to pluck up energy to wash and hoover car.....
