Day 8... Beginning to feel slightly more human again... still got a dreadful cough and seem to be blowing my nose for england again.. but an improvemnet on the previous week. So I rang the doctor to say could I be signed off for a few more days and he says NO.. you must have another week....... I suspect I may have a very clean house once I really am feeling better...!
Its quite ironic actually as before I went off sick I kept getting loaded down with difficult cases and complaints, I have emailed and forwarded on info whilst I have been off and suggested someone should be picking this up in my absence. well today it all kicked off.. haha and its nothing to do with me as I passed it back to those above me to deal with and they haven't.. :rotfl:Glad to know that others in my department, not all, but some will be being kept busy in my absence..
Also lovely work colleague has managed to scan my payslip so I've now sorted all my pennies into the right places..
Today was the day for the agreement for the school trip and dd has shown no interest at all, so I think it is nearly safe to say that we now don't need £3500 for that particular trip... and hopefully means my savings can go towards a sunbed holiday for her and I next year.. but we shall see..
Right off to drink yet more tea...

Aww Puzz sorry to hear you are poorly. Big sympathies from me as I have been off poorly since Tuesday lunchtime as well. Got docs in the morning. Thank goodness your DD is not showing interest in the trip:eek:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42

By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
HI MIT, thanks for popping by I'm sorry you have been feeling poorly as well, hope all goes well with the doctors. x
I am rather relieved that DD has decided against the big trip, funnily enough not really about the money as my OH would have come to the rescue on that one! But her 'close' friend who also was interested in going has some issues and I think unless she gets some serious medical help over the next 18 months my poor dd would have spend the entire trip looking after her.
The friend is in fact going which I am pleased about as I told dd, you can do anything that summer, she quite fancies camp america, or she could go to OZ and stay with our relatives..or whatever its a long way off but she will be able to do what she wants with who she wants. I have told her to keep it all to herself though as I don't want said friend changing her mind and thinking she will do whatever dd wants to do...
Anyhow.. on with today.. Feeling about 7/10 today so improving all the time.. I will be bouncing off the walls by Monday, but am planning on using the time wisely and doing some well overdue house jobs/clearing etc....
I have got to go and collect my shopping at lunchtime, I tried click and collect for the first time, save me having to cough over all the peeps in the supermarket! Will report back...
No money news... may treat myself to a lottery ticket for tonight.. you never know.. it may be my turn..!!

Oh well:( but hey NEXT time it Will be your turn
My dad always buys a EURO and a lotto every week, and occasionally wins a few pounds - he always very happy with what he gets and usually distributes his winnings x10 between his grandchildren (6) in celebration of! Mum complains about how much money he is wasting but he says that if you don't but a ticket there is no hope, buy every time he does buy a ticket, until the numbers are drawn there is always Hope. Without Hope you would give up. :T he doesn't have any other vices so we all live inhope with him - he wants to win the lottery so he can pay off all our (5 children) mortgagesFeb2014 Total unsecured debt £72,520>>01/06/16 £68166>01/02/17 £66,600=8.18%PAID

Feeling much better today, one more day off then back to the rat run of work... will take it gently for the last few days of this week and then spend the next 2 weeks running around...!! Then its half term which I have 3 days booked off and may even stretch it to 4...
Just shows that not being out and about curbs my shopping habits as I've only added a couple of things to my freezer since 9 september... Not sure yet if I want to run it down to get it defrosted or whether I will panic that we have no food...
Still no decision made on the big school trip, OH is saying to book a summer holiday anyway as he is planning on 2.. next year and is happy to pay for ours.. I'm still not sure... Lovely mother is also talking about another trip at some point.. we did NY, first class all the way, courtesy of relative working for airline and could do another one of those.. £100 to fly upper class... or a EJ special to europe.. (but cheaper hotel etc than venice.. I shall leave her to play planning she likes that bit...!!
Getting a few jobs done today and need to go out and hit a shop or 2.. and pay my 20's and 50's into the bank.. they add up very quickly and I have allocated pots for them on my online banking.. currently all to do with summer 2015 but that may all change...
Going to do another click and collect order for friday lunchtime as that was so quick last week and you don't have to sit at home waiting for it...
DD off to the cinema tonight and working tomorrow night so mum's cab will be on the road.. I am still ignoring the noise..
No money news, a few statements in, nothing unexpected which is good..!!! End of month will roll into the 53k's and into double figures paid off.. :j Also next payment to my lovely mum will see my loan to her at the half way point... all good..
Have also changed my tariff on g & e.. direct debit went down from £131 a month to £91 taking into consideration the credit that was on the account. I know we use more than that so am going to tranfer the difference into yet another online saving pot for if/when we need it..
Right time to sort shopping order and meal plan for next week...
