So yesterday I did some searching for a hotel in London, but even though we have the money saved I still don't want to spend £170 for b & b... so I think the current plan is to just go for the day and then train/taxi home....
Have just for the first time for a long time bought myself a ready made wrap for lunch.. naughty... but I can't remember the last time so not all bad...!!!
Pre work this morning, I put the washing on, now its out on the line, cleaned the litter tray, put the rubbish out and cleared up 3.. yes 3 sick piles courtesy of my girl cat.. thanks for that.....maybe she shouldn't eat so fast... so I felt like I had done a days' work before I got to the office... now home for awhile then out again later...
Good news got offered some more overtime for sat 28 and its very local to me so obviously I said yes please.... more pennies in July's pay packet...
Today got to do menu plan from freezer for next week and write my shopping list, may go out for a walk again tonight, trying at least twice a week.... did a visit last night and I have one tomorrow evening but they are just for time.. I have lots of time.. its money I like....:D
Nothing else to report at the moment....Christmas 2020 £109

Sunday morning.. someone has stolen the sunshine and replaced it with cloud and drizzle... I deperately need OH to mow the meadow.. today so hope it stays dry enough...!!!
Everyone is still sleeping so i'm enjoying the peace and quiet! I started spring (late..) cleaning my kitchen yesterday and got carried away and threw the toaster away.. So a trip to the supermarket and one new £10 shiny toaster is now in its place... I'm off to the town later when the London - Brighton Bikers have all left my area as I'm not driving with them.. DD has said she wants to come too.. hope she brings her own money..!!!!
The wrap I bought as a treat was actually quite horrible so in true mse fashion I popped the packaging and a little letter into the post to tell m & s that it was nasty... will see if they respond....!
Have played with the debt tools on SC website and if I can up my payments this year by £10 it will reduce my DFD by a whole month... still 8 years away but in 2016 I hopefully can start throwing more at it when my mum loan will finish.. Although then DD may be going off to uni so will have to see how it all pans out..
Roast Turkey on the menu tonight.. as all my meat bought yellow stickered for £1.20 after christmas. I need to update my freezer list as I've been bad and been purchasing again.. I must stay away from the reduced aisles.. I'm sure I've said that many times before...but I do love a bargain...!!!
I did manage 6 miles walking last week so will hopefully match or increase that this week..
DD out to cinema on thursday and I'm out to lunch on friday so need to hang onto some pennies for those. She has now finished school until September, lucky girl and its her birthday next month so I need to get organised for that..
Right let's go see if anyone is getting up today....

Mid week.. and I have half days tomorrow and friday.. :j
Meadow was cut and I think many of the snails got mullered at the same time as I don't appear to be having as many problems as I was.. that's something to remember for next year... I have one very long bean that will need picking soon, not sure why I have just the one long one... won't make much of a meal.. have left the salad alone for awhile as I overdosed on it.. and have planted some more for probably July... tomatoes are popping out, no sign of the peppers they are obviously shy..:rotfl:
Carrot tops lovely and pretty, no idea what's going on under the surface... and spring onions doing well...
Have had a spendy week.. got a dress for the wedding.. £45 but OH has paid for that, so my wedding account is still intact.. got to sort DD and she's out at the shops today so hopefully will come back with some ideas.... I don't need shoes as the one's I bought for my 40th a few years ago... will do fine..!!
Also purchased more theatre tickets, its kids week in london for the month of August.. I know that doesn't make sense... and it is for 16 years and under, you get one child free with each adult. so DD and I are off to the theatre again at the end of August. As we are not going away except for the wedding I had promised her we would do a few things instead..
Have hung onto £10 for DD's cinema trip tomorrow and will have OH's weekly cash to pay for my lunch friday... nothing else to report financially. Hope to do a very small food shop this week as OH is away from Thurs to Tues, so shouldn't need much and I will keep away from the reduced aisle....
Work going okay, have nearly completed quota for month so you never know I might be able to slip in those 2 overtime visits.... and overtime on saturday 28th.. we love overtime...but unfortunately its not for ever so have to treat it as extra rather than regular as I expect it will dry up later this year..

Sucessfully stayed away from the reduced aisles this week, bar a gammon joint which is DD's favourite and we can have that on sunday so it won't be hanging around in the freezer..
Today I'm on half day but have achieved nil work and done housework instead this morning... tut tut..
Am off out for lunch with a friend, it will be a bit of drinky session so I expect I'll be good for nothing this evening.. Have got £80 available, but obviously im hoping not to spend anywhere near that amount.. will report back...
Have got £35 left in the grocery budget despite deciding to try some wheat free products this week... gosh they are so expensive.. £2.40 for a loaf of bread... I'm not sure if I have a wheat intolerance/IBS/disgestive disorder of somesort of name, it does run in our family and I have been feeling quite unwell at times this week so thought I'd try a few days with a reduced wheat diet... also got lots of veg/salad so if its IBS I could be in trouble....!! I am all for trying things myself before bothering the good old NHS... i do suffer from gastric reflux which I am on medication for so I expect its all connected somehow, but my tummy is bloated and although I have lost some weight, the bloat is still there... sit ups could help..lazy mare.... slightly off topic sorry..
So italian for lunch should be interesting finding a wheat free option.. best hope they do risotto... but I won't be too strict today.. Nothing new to wear will be digging around in the wardrobe....
No other plans for the weekend, planning on chilling and not spending any money..!! unless dd fancies dress shopping of course...! And on with my spring clean as I've only done 3 kitchen cupboards so far and I have 17.....

ok.... well I have a lighter purse, broken shoes and quite a few bruises.. so a good day was had by all....
Spends.. £48... That did include a 2 course lunch and an awful lot of wine in a number of different pubs...... Broken shoes and bruises from when I fell over.. the shoes? my feet? the pavement? who knows.... very unladylike.. luckily I don't do this very often...!!! So home by 7 with chippy tea for dd and then in bed by 8...!! I managed to avoid wheat by having a rocket salad and then veg risotto.. nothing to write home about and way overpriced.. but we did have a good time...:D
Not feeling too bad today considering the wine mountain we shared.... but will be having a gentle day and planning on making a lasagne using leeks instead of pasta sheets... will see how that turns out later....
My neighbour is having a BIG party tonight.. I have been invited but think I will hide inside watching a film and get a early night if I can from the noise...!!!
Tomorrow.. need to buy some shoes....!!!
Also got a £4 gift card from the lovely m & s for moaning about the lunch I bought a while back.. so may treat myself to something nice to eat for monday night..
Right off to do some more jobs, bedding is on the line, plants sorted, bin out, bathroom cleaned and second lot of washing nearly finished.. I hooevered yesterday so can relax a little today...

Made a vegetable tortilla which will do me some lunches over the next few days. Also have made my lasagne using leeks instead of pasta sheets...looks ok will report back tomorrow!
Big opps of the day, totally forgot I had shown an interest in going to see philomena again at an alternative cinema this afternoon...mother turns up whilst I'm knee deep in leek sheets..she was also expecting to stay for dinner!! So I sent her off to watch the film and she's coming back for dinner later..tried to have a lie down but other neighbours got me up to sort cat feeding as they are away overnight...the neighbours the other side of the party are away too, so it will just be me being disturbed then...they are already drinking in the garden, it could be a long night....Christmas 2020 £109

Vegetable tortilla was lovely and I sent my mum home with some last night to try. Got enough to do my lunches for today and tomorrow. Lasagne with leek sheets, I wasn't so keen, definately missed the pasta and I must confess to throwing the rest away this morning.. not very :money:but I know if I had frozen it I wouldn't have used it... So another wheat free day yesterday and I do feel full of beans today.. not literally.... Had a lovely nights sleep despite the party and woke at 7.15 bright eyed and bushy tailed... washing is out on the line, bin and recycling done, second load nearly ready to hang, been to get petrol and hand washed my car... will be off to town after lunch to find some shoes to replace my broken one's.. opps... I have so many bruises I sure had a good time on friday....:D
Will continue with the wheat free for the next few days and see how I get on...I do feel less bloated which I am pleased about..
Today its veg tortilla and salad for lunch and tonight its roast gammon and I shall have some sort of veggie things with it.. Will visit m & s and spend the lovely £4 gift card they sent me.. and more no doubt....:)
So shoes and food and then back for the ironing and dinner with dd....
8th payment goes from SC to creditors on wednesday.. can't believe how quickly the time has gone.. balance should be down to just over £56k and will fall into the 55's at the end of July so that's nearly 5K off my debts in 8 months.. and if I include my family loan I've actually paid 6600 off.. fantastic.. Bye bye debt.. don't come back.. EVER.... still loving my dmp.... and I seem to have much more of a life now than I ever did in debt.... apart from the summer holidays of course I will miss those for awhile.. well for this year anyway.. next year.. who knows...!!!

Hi Puzz, been a boozy weekend here too, went to some friends for a Curry last night. Made sure I did a 5 mile walk though so I didn't feel guilty LOL.
Been exercising since Easter and have my Bupa Medical next week for work. Its a bi-annual thing and I'm determined to have lost weight from the last one and have a better Cholesterol reading. Lost about a stone so far. Aiming for 3 stone by Christmas so well on the way.
It's my 3rd payment next week too, where has the time flown by. I think I will be down under 58k so not too far behind you.
Have fun :-)0 -

Hi bb, glad I wasn't the only naughty one this weekend!! It's lovely to see the debts falling isn't, shame it will take me many years to clear them but at least we're on the right path now!!
I have been out walking a couple of times each week for the last month, I have no excuse not to exercise as I do own a treadmill but find walking outdoors much more interesting! I would like to shift half a stone and tone up a little but I am lazy.....lost 1lb last week, probably found it again after Fridays shenanigans... Good luck..Christmas 2020 £109
