So a non rainy day for a change. and I was pleased as I was outside doing visits for work this morning and wouldn't have appreciated getting soggy....!!! A nice little 2 and a half hours overtime for June's pay packet.... If I up my game this month I still haven't done/claimed the 3 hours I was offered before so may well try and do a couple of evening visits during the month so I get a few more pennies for my many pots...!!
New month tomorrow, 8th payment gone to SC.. its quite scary how the time is flying...
Spending diary completed for the month of May and it was a hefty one with Theatre tickets, venice and the car's MOT but all paid for in cash.. :T No big spends planned for this month, except DD's shoes.. (tomorrow?) they will be £40 - £60.. but still have £40 left from my week's budget when I was away and can top up from this week's money..
I have only 1 social event booked for this month and that is a lunch out (think boozy...) a scattering of birthdays but none that require presents.. and fathers day of course.. well my father has never joined in with this one and my OH did a miserable job of sorting anything for mothers day so I won't be going overboard on that one.. in fact I think he may be away.. AGAIN... climbing mountains or some such malarky....
I'm back on the RM posting survey and so far this week I have received cosmopolitan mag, harpers bazaar and good housekeeping.... never received magazines before, much more exciting than boring bits of paper from other panalists..!!
Right off to chill before my mother descends on me, shepherds pie made, just got DD and her friend to cook for a bit later and then open the wine....

Another weekend done and dusted and the sun is shining on this fine monday morning.. okay that's enough positivity for a monday....
DD's leavers shirt signing and assembly today and tomorrow.. kids these days don't seem to organise or plan like we used too and its always a last minute rush... so not sure what she is doing after school, I want to go out for a walk, need to up the exercise so hope she will be straight home and not requiring mum's taxi later....!
Finally got DD out of the house and she now has her new shoes... well converses so not really shoes but something other than uggs.. which are not really practical through the summer.. !!! So £49.99 down but had the money ready.. :T I also treated her to a new book and some cheapy t-shirts..nothing for me though, I had some new clothes last month...
Everyone appears to be trying to organise social events, and I'm desperately trying to avoid them as I don't want to spend my pennies... If I can keep them to 1 a month that's not too bad.....
Opened a new ISA for my pot of gold money..it is still instant access but as i'm not intending to use it for a number of years it may as well earn a little more interest.....
One poll up to £13.40.. slowly, slowly... off out shortly to do some work, OH back this afternoon at some point and I will be picking some more homegrown lettuce and rocket for tea tonight..
Hoping June is going to be the month where my brain kicks in that I would really like to lose this 7lbs and tone up a bit before the wedding in August.. watch this space...Christmas 2020 £109

Thanks INOD.
I feel sort of lost today.. I don't feel I have a right to feel as grief striken as I do. We were close friends for many years starting as work colleagues and progressing to holiday pals. Whenever I stayed with her she would always mother me as she knew that my OH was rubbish at it, so she would run my bath and make me take vitamin tablets etc.. along with the wine and make me dinner. She moved countries about 10 years ago and although I visted her a few times, the last time was in 2007 when she had just met the man who became her husband and father to her beautiful girls. She last visited me in 2009 with her first baby girl. We only had sporadic calls, fb messages and texts since. The last one being earlier this year when she told me she had, had brain cancer and spent the month of January having radiotherapy. (sp.)
Have just rung the third friend from our original trio as I knew she wouldn't know and didn't want her to find out over fb or from some random throwaway comment from someone else who we used to work with.
So today I'm going to be sad.. I shall allow it as its normal, but tomorrow is a new day and my friend would not want me to be sad for long as she was anand will always be with me in my memories.
RIP my beautiful friend..
Over the years I have thought about visiting, especially in the last year when I knew she had been poorly, but what stopped me... MONEY... my stupid debts.. so a huge reason to get them sorted asap..... I shall stop kicking myself now...Christmas 2020 £109

Onwards and upwards...
Money seems to be disappearing before my eyes this month and its only 4 days into June...... Luckily its my 'pay day' from OH tomorrow so that will balance things out a little.... Think I overspent at the weekend and left myself a bit short... I also really need some more exercise trousers as the pair I have been wearing have worn out in places and I think you can see my bottom.. The other pair are too short, I've either grown or they have shrunk and my dd won't let me go out in them!!! So I have £10 tesco voucher and may pop over at lunchtime and see if they have any.....
Social life is getting confusing.. all my different groups of friends want to do things on the same weekends.. I'm not up to 2 nights out... now I'm very old.. and also, why can't they do them without me... am I that much fun..??? Plus the cost of course.. So after this weeks news I am going to do what I want.. which is spend a day/maybe overnight with my best friend.. we missed her 50th last year as she was poorly and have still been saving each month. The plan is to go somewhere nice next year for a weekend, but we have enough to have a little splurge now so date booked for 12th July.. Just have to tell everyone else I'm not playing as its also my dd's 16th next month and I don't know what she wants to do yet, other than the theatre which we have already booked and paid for..
So this month..
Lunch 20th June...
Next month..
Theatre with dd 2nd July
day/night with best friend.. 12th July..
I think the rest of them can wait until September when all the holidays (not mine..) are out of the way...!!!
Right off to do some planning for the rest of the week and then some work.. etc.....Christmas 2020 £109
