Granny and Pinot, Thank you both for your good wishes, I do love having some company over here..!
I confess I haven't packed yet.... well I still have 2 hours 45 mins to do it in, so I'm sure I'll get round to it.... best get off here really...!!!
OH popped in yesterday, he's been on shift so havent' really seen him since about last Wednesday... He gave me £100 spendies.. :T So I've popped that in my secret hiding place and will use it in the summer to do something with DD. I have to also confess to having bought a few clothes.... pretty basic one's really... a couple of £3 t-shirts, jeans for £10 and a pretty top.. (not essential...) for £12.... and some socks.. I will have to invest in some other underwear purchases during the next few months but other than that, just the wedding attire to sort for August....
Right off to get on with my jobs for this morning and to pack that case as it won't pack itself and 2 books and a tin of mozzie spray isn't going to be enough for 4 days...

I'm Back...
Well have been for a few days actually, but was still rocking from all my boat trips and looking at the computer made me feel sick...
What a wonderful city Venice is, Fantastically expensive so you need a nice generous person to take you...!!! I took about £400 and came back with 80 euro's... so that's gone in the wedding pot... Mum also gave me £50 yesterday so that takes the total trip cost down to about £270..
We did stay in an expensive hotel, the one round the corner from us was a third of the price, but it was lush and I got spoilt with water taxi's (140e eache way..) and gondola ride..(80e). I bought lunches and drinks and Mum paid for our evening meal each day...
So back home and on with the budgetting.... I am up this week by £80 excluding the £50 mum gave me. I am going to use that to sort out my air conditioning in my car as it needs re-doing.
Held my Macmillion Big Night In on Friday, raised £100 for the charity so need to pay that in the bank and send off a cheque.. No other plans afoot at the moment... I shall have to start plotting something...
Next task is to sort out outfits for DD and I for the wedding in August....neither of us like shopping so that should be fun...
Veggies are all growing well in the garden, lettuce and rocket are ready to start picking...
Also received £4 voucher off steak from Mr T's as part of the Orchard panal so I will go and buy some this afternoon.. yum, haven't had steak for ages.....
Only other money news, I've been offered some overtime for a saturday so will graciously accept that.. I do like extra pennies...!!
And back to work tomorrow, boo.... DD's up to her elbows in GCSE'S now, but she's very calm about it all, so I just go with the flow....Christmas 2020 £109

And we're off again... got home at lunchtime to find my boy cat looking a bit odd.. no obvious signs of injury but sort of looking vacant and breathing funny.. He wouldn't get up and walk to me so... off to the vets... they did a good examination, felt like money well spent.. and gave him a jab of painkillers as he has a temperature. They think he may have had a shock of some sort... he's currently asleep on a towel in the bathroom sink....so £50 later....Hoping he picks up really soon, I hate having a poorly puzz...
So that mucked up my work day as I need to keep an eye on him..... oh well let's hope tomorrow is better...!!! Hottest day of the year and I have all the windows and doors shut to keep the cat in....
Went and spent my steak vouchers yesterday, have got a couple of fillets for us to have tonight.. might share mine with the cat if he gets up...!Christmas 2020 £109

Well the poorly puzz appears to be on the mend, will keep my fingers crossed on that one....!
One poll up to £11.05... also doing adpoints for sainsburys nectar points as they seem to add up quite quickly... up to £50 on rewards at shop and scan, will probably use them on DD's birthday or will save for christmas.....
Not a lot of money news... Have still got some cash left but do need to buy some birthday cards today, few bits in supermarket.. all adds up... bank account has about £25 in it and all debits done for the month so you never know it may stay there until payday.....
Big concern is the mot on the car next friday... I have some specific car savings and my e.fund if necessary.. I shall certainly have my fingers, toes and everything else crossed for that day.....
Need to get to the building society and withdraw the money for the theatre tickets I bought as I used the wedding fund money and would like to see all my savings in the correct pots...!!! So that may be a job for lunchtime today..
Fillet steak last night was divine... I told OH we only had it as I had some vouchers, he liked it so much he said he would pay for us to have it again.. result... he also paid for the cat.. bless him...
Need to update my online spending diary, buy a new spending diary as i'm writing on the back page and do some work.....
Also going to pick some of my homegrown lettuce and rocket to go with tea tonight...Christmas 2020 £109

Hi Puzz!
Just checking in to say hi - hi!
Glad to hear you had an amazing time in Venice, it's so lovely isn't it? But yes, vvvvv expensive!
Hope your cat is still on the mend - I can't stand it when the animals are poorly, bless them. I had a few vets bills over winter too and they don't half add up!! Such a relief to have that emergency find though and not need to resort to the dreaded dc's any more yay!
Still loving your DMP?? I flipping well am, this last month I've paid car tax & OH car insurance out of real money, I just love it!!! Its so long since I've felt in control of money, I'm forever looking at online banking and like you moving stuff around into various pots, and seeing no minus signs is such a treat!!!!!!!!
Keep plodding on

I have my mot next friday, little worried as always had the back up of the cc... but do have some money in my car account and as you say have the e.fund if necessary and various other pots I could raid.. hoping it won't come to that though...!! Loving the Black.. so much nicer than Red.. Keep going we will get there... xxxChristmas 2020 £109

So its the weekend again.. :T Have done the hoovering and washed the floors, second lot of washing on, but can't hang outside due to the weather.. boo....
Today's plans include the bathroom and sorting out the spare room and downstairs back room for 2 house guests tonight... So I will have 3 drunked, snoring men to contend with.....At least its only for one night.. football has a lot to answer to...... I need to pop to a shop at some point and do the ironing and clean the kitchen.. oh i'm tired now, just thinking about it...!
The rest of the weekend involves a family visit to see my beautiful nieces at some point and a trip to town to buy DD some very needed shoes.. luckily due to being away I ended up with some extra pennies so should be able to afford them without hitting any of my saving/current account....
No money news.. One poll up to £11.90... slow.. hope it picks up as I want the £40 for my wedding fund.... Only need to pay for the hotel room.. (hoping OH will pick this up as I paid for the flights...), a little spending money and new clothes for DD and I.. I won't be buying anything expensive though.. might start having a look on Ebay.... All okay in the bank account, I do have the car MOT on friday, little scared but not much I can do about it, my little car is 12 years old so bound to need something doing.. just hope its not more than what's in the car account....!
Renewed the house insurance, after some haggling to get the price to match what I was offered by the same company online.. they then messed it up so have given me a bigger discount and it is now pennies cheaper per month than last year.. result.....! I do need to keep track of these payments ready for my review with SC... No news on work payrise, should be April but they negotiate for ages and we never hear or see anything until about October...
Have been munching on my homegrown lettuce and rocket this week, all the veg are doing well except the chives who objected to being grown then moved, so I have abandoned them.. I also have 4 tomato plants that I was given to plant out if it stays dry tomorrow...
That's about all folks.. time for lunch, then on with the jobs...
