Sorry you had to wake up so early:eek:. I'm always up at 6, it's just my normal waking time but I'm flagging by 10 at night:o. Good job I'm not a party animal then:rotfl:
I'm up now because I've neuralgia which usually seems to strike with a vengeance as soon as I drop off to sleep:mad:. No point in lying there any longer as there's no way I'll get back to sleep. I've had a couple of painkillers and am now enjoying a nice cuppa while I catch up on my favourite diaries.
Just to add to what you mentioned before about possible plans for a USA trip in the Spring. Sounds like a great idea to me:j. The time DD has left over there will whizz by for her and it seems a shame for her to miss a few weeks of it by coming back to UK. She'll be back for good before long anyway. I know she'll want to come for her break because she's missing being with you but if you go over there for a holiday instead it's a win-win for both of you. Go for it, hang the expense for once;).
Hi cbc,
Hope your feeling better today?
SS is stepson.. he's 24 now so don't see him very often.. although he does meet up with his dad fairly frequently..
dd's still thinking about what she wants to do with spring break, I don't think she's missing me very much at all....:D but hasn't pinned anyone down to do something with.. will watch this space..

Good job as I have appointments booked for today..
Payday came and went, as did January..... all pots filled for the month.. nice...
Weigh Day.. I actually weigh the same as 1st January... despite walking for 7 hours 55 minutes.... ho hum.. at least I got good legs....:D
Quiet plans for the weekend as I cancelled girls night out, wasn't feeling it with the weather... but bff coming over to me tomorrow for bubbles and nachos and I have a neighbour round this evening..
Will do some overtime.. more pennies....
Not much more to report.. think dd is now allowed out of her campus building but still very chilly.. she wasn't at all impressed with my snow photo last night...:rotfl:
Have a good Friday and weekend..

Oh its fresh outside this morning......brrr.. day in the house with the fur babies and the central heating...!
Lovely evenings Friday and Saturday, Not to spendy just extra wine and nachos for last night.. bff gave me £100 towards the holiday .. this is suppose to go back into my savings, but i'm itching to pay it off the cc debt.. we shall see...
Did 3 hours overtime yesterday and planning on another couple this afternoon..
Still not been on the treadmill.. another job for this afternoon.....
Not a lot to report... hoping for a nice quiet February as I have no other plans.. other than working of course...!!!! Got a couple of days I need to take off this month or I lose them.. that's not happening..:rotfl: Just need to choose when.....
Following cbc's diary I was reading about her defaults dropping off so had a quick check of mine on Noddle.. I should lose 4 at the end of this year and 3 next year.. 1 pesky one in 2021 and then of course the wonderful undefaulted one which will hang around with late payments for a long time.. hopefully if this is the only mark on my file it won't cause too many issues long term.. I will f & f this one first when I save up some pennies...
Right off to have brunch.. and then to start work..

Sounds like fun Friday and Saturday evenings, Puzz:j. Even better when they don't cost much:beer:
Sounds like you've got February's plans under control and I hope you manage to find something nice (and cheap;)) to do on your owed days off. Something more fun than the treadmill anyway:rotfl:
I'm glad a bit of the drivel I write on my diary was useful to you, Puzz:j. Seeing my own default-drops getting nearer and nearer has really given me a lot of hope. Not that I want to go mad and have a pursefull of credit cards again:eek: but I'd love to be able to know that I'm creditworthy again after all the hardship of the past 6 years.
My first debt should drop off this month:j but because it often takes up to 3 months for things to be reported by creditors and shown on the credit files I won't be too stressed if it's still in evidence for a while longer. Rome wasn't built in a day;)0 -
:j:j:j Friday.....
These weeks are whizzing past...
Well today I received a second discount offer from the pesky debt that never defaulted.. They offered a 20% discount in November and are now offering 50%....:D
Unfortunately I still can't afford it, well probably could pull it together but don't want to at the moment.. I have sent them a lovely reply and have advised them at the current rate of payment I will be 101 before the debt is paid...:rotfl: I have suggested that I won't consider a partial settlement until a back dated default is completed...
Will wait to hear what they say.....
They will be the only bad mark on my credit file after 2021 so don't expect that will cause to many issues... but I really would rather they just defaulted it and back dated it to 2016.. one can but try as the fos and ico were more than useless when I tried to get it done through them...
I am currently hiding from the wind.. its already taken my garden furniture down.. we've even had a tree down in the road this week.... its suppose to ease off in the next hour so I may pop out after that...!
No plans for the weekend, apart from some more overtime, cleaning etc.. may pop into town or may save that until next weekend as I have a 4 day one....
Still walking on the treadmill.. still fat... must stop eating..:rotfl:
Have a good weekend.

Good news about the settlement offer even though you aren't interested in accepting it. At least they're moving in the right direction;). Maybe your letter coupling the possibility of settling with their co-operating on the default might pay dividends. Fingers crossed:beer:
My 'difficult' creditor. L**K phoned me yesterday. I was hopping mad because I've asked them umpteen times to only contact me by post. She wanted to discuss my repayment plan which had lapsed. What???????. I only updated it at the end of 2018 but I think my refusal then to send bank statements to prove the tokens I'm paying are really all I can afford has annoyed them:(. She agreed to extend the status quo for 12 months from now:j as a special 'concession':rotfl:. I've again asked for no phone contact so let's hope they leave me alone for the next year. Unless they want to write with an improved settlement offer, of course. They turned down my last one in December but the creditor I'll be paying next week also turned me down in December and came back within about a month with a brilliant offer:j. L**K, though, are known for being unco-operative so I won't be holding my breath;)
Have a good weekend:beer:. Don't waste it cleaning or working;)
Take care xx0 -
Monday....:( again.. who stole my weekend.....
Not that I did very much.... had planned on some overtime but the work site had other ideas and was down all weekend....
Ho hum, let's hope its working next weekend.. puzz needs pennies...
I paid off my debt for the holiday on the cc....:T Having seen I was going to be charged £20 each month it made more sense to use my ISA cash as that only earned £5 in interest last year... and I can repay that from our monthly savings...
Also.. the idea of going to the USA in the imminent future.. I wanted this card clear as its 0% abroad and again I have savings to pay it off if I go....
I have a short week as booked Friday off but OH has informed me he is off on Friday with no plans..:eek: which means him watching back to back films all day.. think I may swap my day....!!!
I have now got one social this month, a bit spur of the moment wit the girls but shouldn't be too costly as £30 for meal and bring your own drinks...
Right going to make a cuppa and do some work ....

Good idea, Puzz:beer:. I can't get anything done when OH is in all day. It just seems to be one interruption after another, usually food and drink-related. He seems totally incapable of operating the toaster without filling the kitchen with acrid smoke, or working anything else without some calamity:eek:. He's gone out for the day today:j and I've already achieved more this morning than I managed all day on the days when we had torrential rain and he was stuck inside. Just wait until your DH is retired like mine. You have years of him being at home all day to look forward to:rotfl:
have a good week:beer:0 -
Oh I hate it when my OH is off as well, unless we are actually going somewhere or doing something together....if not he just sits on the computer all day and drives me mad....lolDMP 2015 £57,549, now £36,112 (37% paid)

Friday.....:j:j:j
And I'm not off work... changed my day to Monday only for OH to say last night he is working part day today....:(.. never mind, I will go into the office this afternoon and get some stuff out the way so I am ready to roll next week..
Money news..
typically my non defaulted creditor refused my kind offer to back date a default on the account....they did very kindly explain why a default is not good... I sort of know that...:D Never mind they can wait for there money... well in fact they all can as I am off to the USA in a couple of weeks to see DD...:D will hopefully sort flights etc this weekend...
Wescot also advised me I had now paid off the debt they held for me and can I cancel the standing order... umm... once I had tracked down which debt they were talking about I rang the original creditor who advised it had been sold on to my friends PraT... no word from them yet, I'm sure it will come...
So weekend plans... maybe a takeaway as I didn't have one with OH last night for valentines.. he had one after the pub, I had pasta.....
Overtime tomorrow as long as the computer works, it had better!!!
3 day weekend with me being off Monday, will catch up with relatives including LM... and sort those flights/hotel....:D
I'm sure OH will contribute to the cost of the trip..... you know I hate spending my savings....:rotfl:
Right, just charging all work equipment and then will head in for an afternoon attached to a computer...!!
