I find with the treadmill that once I get going I am not too bored. I find myself looking at the display and thinking....just 5 more minutes, or just another 0.5km or something...actually I am not sure if mine counts in Km or miles TBH....:rotfl: Although I do find it better if I do 2 or 3 small walks rather than 1 long one. I am aiming for 10000 ssteps a day as a minimum but that includes all my normal walking, up and downstairs, if I can be bothered to get the Wii out etc. I have been truly bad at it for the last year and I really must make more of an effort as my goal is to improve my bone density as I have Osteoporosis.
Maybe we should have a competition and motivate each other...lol.
I am thinking of getting a small TV in the dining room then I can watch something while I walk.DMP 2015 £57,549, now £36,112 (37% paid)

Good Morning..
Well today is suppose to be the most depressing day of the year according to the good old daily mail... well I'm not going to be depressed.. I have plans...
Reading The Daily Wail made every day seem like the most depressing day of the year:rotfl:. We stopped reading it after decades. Maybe the new editor will make a difference and if so OH might start reading it again. He liked a lot of the articles and contributors and misses them.0 -
Its the weekend... and payday is nearly here......:D
Very mild today, have been for a walk to the local shops.. its only 600 steps.. yep I've counted it so will be on the treadmill again later..
I did manage everyday from Monday to Thursday and upped to 30 minutes each time.. Friday escaped me due to being the only person working I was a bit busy...!!
No weight loss.. but no gain so hey ho... can't really say I've been dieting and obviously exercise is not enough to shift these pesky pounds...
Have been given some more overtime to do, so house is nearly sorted and after lunch will crack on with some of that to earn more pennies.. probably for my October spending money but we will see...
I may, may be flying off to the USA in March... dd is deliberating about what she wants to do with spring break.. she has an idea and is going to run it past me later today..... I'm not really fussed about going over... hate spending my savings....:rotfl: But will see what her current thoughts are....
Have paid a whole £ 7.48 off my cc debt...:rotfl: I have got £120 to pay but annoyingly one of my ebay sales has still not picked up the item from the post office... 11 days ago they attempted delivery... and I don't want to spend it if they are going to not collect the item.... although they haven't contacted me to ask where it is so they must know....just go and pick it up...!!!!
Anyway enough ramblings.. time for lunch and then some work.. tomorrow off to visit relatives for a little while and maybe some more work and treadmill of course...!!!!

Sorry, who or what is SS?
Sorry you had to wake up so early:eek:. I'm always up at 6, it's just my normal waking time but I'm flagging by 10 at night:o. Good job I'm not a party animal then:rotfl:
I'm up now because I've neuralgia which usually seems to strike with a vengeance as soon as I drop off to sleep:mad:. No point in lying there any longer as there's no way I'll get back to sleep. I've had a couple of painkillers and am now enjoying a nice cuppa while I catch up on my favourite diaries.
Just to add to what you mentioned before about possible plans for a USA trip in the Spring. Sounds like a great idea to me:j. The time DD has left over there will whizz by for her and it seems a shame for her to miss a few weeks of it by coming back to UK. She'll be back for good before long anyway. I know she'll want to come for her break because she's missing being with you but if you go over there for a holiday instead it's a win-win for both of you. Go for it, hang the expense for once;).0
