Its hard to know what to do with the UE debts, isn't it? We have 3 with PR* and when they told us they were UE, they said they were putting all 3 accounts on hold and we haven't paid them a penny since. That was about 10 months ago. Compared to some of our debts, these are actually quite little ones and I do sometimes wonder if it would be a good idea just to make an F&F to them and get them out of the way. Then I think no, best to put the money towards the ones that we know are enforceable and see what happens with these.
Keep us informed what happens.DMP 2015 £57,549, now £36,112 (37% paid)
EF £200 Mortgage OP's this year £115

I had 2 identical letters on Saturday from L**k, one for each of my old MBNA debts that they bought. One is UE (which they wrote to tell me was when they couldn't send any CCA paperwork last year) and the other is one that is enforceable but they refused my F&F on in December. They say they've been trying to contact me (?????) as I haven't responded to their requests to set up a payment plan. I'm paying them on one of them at a rate agreed with them in December and as for the lack of contact I wrote to them 3 times in December, plus emailed them and even spoke to them on the phone. I know I could just ignore the UE one but I've still been paying them £1 a month. They haven't threatened me with the bailiffs yet but knowing what a shower they are it's probably only a matter of time:rotfl: especially as I don't plan to respond to these letters.
Do you have anywhere nice to go to show off your new hair cut? Maybe your DH will take you out:j. If he's anything like mine though he won't even notice you look any different:(
Hi CBC,
I'm not paying anything towars my 2 UE debts and don't intend to unless they provide the paperwork..!
OH didn't notice my hair and hasn't invited me out anywhere nice so I guess I will have to hope my work colleagues notice it later......

I would definitely concentrate on the enforceable debts first, you can always pay off the UE one's at a later date.. or just ignore them...

Happy Hump Day ...
And a little bit of happy money news.. we have finally got some of the deposit back from dd's last house rental.. (contract finished in Sept). The Landlord was really greedy and didn't really want to give any back to the girls and was taken to dispute so dd got just over 2/3rds of her deposit back.... She can now use that to spend on spring break.... why don't we get spring break..?
Saves me coughing up more money from my savings you know how I hate doing that....:rotfl:
Off to meet LF and his fiancee for a drink and then best show my face and my hair in the office....:D

That's exactly how I do mine, Puzz:T
We like them crispy anyway. Just as well with some of them:rotfl:0 -
Good Morning..
Well today is suppose to be the most depressing day of the year according to the good old daily mail... well I'm not going to be depressed.. I have plans...
These are my ramblings so feel free to ignore I just want to get them written down..
Having read previously somewhere that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit I am using this theory loosely on making some changes to my life..
So January was the month to start exercising.. I have done this but not as well as I could have. today is day 21 and I have completed 12 walks on the treadmill... I intend to exercise everyday for the next 21 days and also be more mindful about what I am eating/drinking. I also want to be in bed by 9pm 2 days a week. Like many others on here I am a lady of a certain age and don't sleep that well, well certainly not all night.. having a snoring OH.. again like many others means when I wake up in the night I can't get back to sleep.. going to bed an hour earlier will hopefully at least give me an extra hour...! i do try and have at least one nap at the weekend to top up, but think this will also help...
So every 10 minutes I walk on the treadmill is 1000 steps.. I have counted...:rotfl: No i couldn't possibly walk for and hour and 40 minutes to make the recommended daily of 10000 as I would go mad... but I will make an effort to do 30 minutes..
Will do a total of minutes at the end of the month, along with ...weightloss...
I was 2lb down but having eaten out 3 times since Friday.. have probably regained.. will know on Friday...
Now Money..
Generally plodding along fine.. but I do now have an additional debt... My loan from LF is ticking along and will be gone in 15 months..
I now have a cc debt of 747 pounds (sorry lost my pound sign..)
This was to cover bff and my flights for our naughty holiday I booked... I have set it to minimum payments with the intention of overpaying every month as we save.. I also have 120 pounds to chuck at it this month and will have the same next month... i will aim to pay it as soon as possible so I don't incur too much interest but don't want to part with my savings to pay it...!!! I will then recoup what is owed to me from the savings bff and I currently do.
As I said this is all mad Monday morning ramblings just for me...
Right enough for one chilly morning, although not as chilly as where dd is. .its -17.... Hope she's wrapping up warm....
Off to move some washing, drink a cup of tea and do some work...
