And only 4 sleeps until dd is home.....

I am almost ready for it... 2 food shop orders booked, presents bought and wrapped.. cat to vet.. oh that's not very christmassy....

Boy cats sneezing has come back again and last time they offered a £400 investigation which I declined at that time.. OH said to leave it until after Christmas but as he is off today and sitting on the sofa watching TV I have booked him to take the cat later to hopefully get another steroid injection... will save expensive investigations until 2019.....

    Money news..

Had some Christmas money left so after my Crisis donation and a tenner to the big issue seller I bought myself a new toaster and kettle.... RED very christmassy...:D

I had an issue with the bank recently, there fault where they paid my money into someone else's account... it got sorted but to add insult to injury I have been charged £10.19 for the phone call to get it sorted.. So letter and copy of bill sent to them today...

Other wise all just plodding along... early payday for us, but I will do as I always do and move it into savings and pay myself on the correct day...

Family finally settled down, its all very complicated and I definitely do now have 2 divorced parents.. (they split up 37 years ago...).. we are concerned about LF and his new beau... but my siblings are joining in and we are monitoring the situation...

Should be doing some work, but its very quiet.. so I though it was time I did an update here..... I finish Thursday and go back after boxing day so a nice 6 day break, then I have few odd days booked off to do things with dd if she wants to...

Got to finish getting her room ready, I have new bedding but will not put that on until Thursday evening so I can shut the cats out.. or it will be hairy new bedding...:rotfl:

    See you before Christmas.. probably....:rotfl:

    she's home....:D:D:D :j:j:j

    And I've finished work for 6 days....:D:D:D

And I've been paid..:D:D:D but I've hidden that in a savings pot..

So Oh picked her up and they arrived here about 8.45 this morning.. I then took her to the cafe and she's now fast asleep.....could happily join her after the alarm going off at 5am...

Having a lazy day, pootling round tiding things..Christmas all organised.. I hope.. food shop due Sunday.. money nearly all spent.. 2 presents due to arrive tomorrow and then once they are wrapped I am done....

i have enough money left in the bank to cover the big shop + £60 in a Christmas food saving pot to transfer over.. hopefully won't need to buy anything else and still have some pennies left.. although with dd home they won't last long..:rotfl:

Boy cat was desperate to sleep in her room last night so I left changing the bedding until this morning... 3 piles of cat sick and a big spider.. all before 8am... Not the best start to the day..!!

Bedding looked nice and she's all tucked in .. whether she will get up again is another matter....:D

So I will wish everyone a Happy Christmas and will be back before the New Year...

:xmastree: So all done and dusted for another year.. it goes so quick....

I did well with cash and vouchers, new gloves, dressing gown, lots of smellies and bought myself some perfume.....

Currently part roasting left over potatoes and then going to freeze them.. yesterday I did a slow cooked beef stew with the leftover Christmas carrots.. very :money:

dd still with me but the time is flying fast and she will be off back over the pond in a blink of an eye...:( But we've had a nice relaxing time, too many takeaways... and she's off out to lunch today with her bff...

    Time for an annual update..

LF loan was £2700 Jan 2018
LF loan now £1500 Jan 2019..... although he is threatening to write some of this off...:D

    DMP started Jan 2018 £35443.49
    Jan 2019 £26974.24..:D:D:D into the 26's....

However a lot of this reduction was down to debts being UE rather than actual payments.. down is down though...:T:T:T

    So plans going forward-

Much the same as every year, get fitter, get less fatter.... spend less.. etc etc.....

Just hoping for all friends, family and mse'ers... to have a lovely happy, healthy and wealthy 2019......

If I'm not back have a happy new year.. roll on 2019....

  • Hi Puzzcat xx

Sounds like you had a lovely time. I cooked off all my excess potatoes as well and made slimming world chips and wedges for freezer. Never tried this before so hopefully they'll be successful as it'll save me some time when I'm cooking.

    Hope you are well x

Ooh, how do you cook the potatoes to make wedges? Sounds like a good idea

  • I hope you and yours had a lovely New Year's Eve, Puzz, and that 2019 will be a special year for you:beer:

I've bitten the bullet and started my own diary at long last after years of cluttering up other people's with my ramblings:o. Please drop in and see me as I'd hate to be all alone there talking to myself:eek:.

It's called: 'Sort of debt-free but hope to be a super-scrimper in 2019'. Catchy title, not! Couldn't think of anything else though that wasn't several lines long.
