Hi Puzz, my old account was in 2012 around the time I started my DMP so I don't think that we have crossed paths before. I just got a new account because I felt myself drifting - not back into debt or anything but just not making enough of an effort to get on top of things, I am a scenic router but even so there's no need to be getting debt free via Outer Mongolia is there?
Have a fantastic 2017.“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”

Morning Puzz.
Just wanted to drop by and say Happy New Year and hope that it's a great one for you.Hope to be around more so I'll be joining you on your weight loss journey starting at 10.12 where I have stuck at all year + or minus a couple.
Debt wise nothing will change much for the first six months, just need to write to creditors to update them all. You have done really well with self managing - 30% plus paid is amazing.

Hi Noah,
Lovely to see you and I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New year.
I am not starting my new year's resolutions until after the 9th when dd will have completed her 2 essays and exam.. the level of stress in the house right now is not compatible with eating healthy and not having a drink or 2....!!!
Hope you have a good 2017 and wishing you health, wealth and happiness..

Morning...
Friday for me, as I am off tomorrow driving dd back to uni... did the practice drive with lovely mother on BH Monday.. was mostly successful but she lost where we were on the instructions before we had even left an area we know.. so good old road signs was what I relied on.. Coming back was easier and she is coming with me again tomorrow, think she just enjoys getting out...!
Have convinced dd I think to come back Saturday night rather than I collect her Sunday.. that way OH can go pick her up...:rotfl:
Money News.. still playing with budget, not sure if to just go low so I can save more for f & f's.. any thoughts????
Have got £550 to put in pots this month, must sort that out,, may do it today..... working hard you can tell....!!!
Not much else to report.. loving my new car even with her rattle..

Me again..
Right I have assigned this months under payment for my dmp into my saving pots...should have about the same to play with next month although I will start paying 2 more creditor debts we also have the no water and no c.tax to pay.. love Feb/March...
Have also transferred the top up needed to pay dd's rent.. £560..
Also forgot to say will be meeting lovely father for a quick drink at lunchtime so I can pay my first installment for my car... £100 down.. £3900 to go....
Following my 2 complaint letters recently, Lowells replied quite quickly saying they will investigate.. (this is because they have bought my creation debt which wasn't defaulted and should have been..) Natwest didn't reply again so have sent the letter again, boldly typed with repeat letter.. exactly what happened last time... (this is for not updating my Credit file with payments..).
That's it for now..

:j Bit cheery for a monday.. sorry...
So what's been happening in the puzz household.
I drove dd back to uni on Friday and used the Motorway on the way back... big brave puzz.....:T OH picked her up Saturday night so that's my drives done for awhile as she is not back to uni until the end of the month... exam done and last essay due in today... stress levels will then drop...
I have done my budget and set my dmp payments at £298 a month.. so 50% less... But I do have £200 a month to pay rent for dd and £100 for my car.. so will be better off but not by thousands....:rotfl: 2 letters sent out today, the rest in theory will change in April... so 2 more £5 a month to 6 of my creditors... puzz will be filling those pots...!
I have booked a city break with lovely mother.... total per person cost £212... I have paid for the flights and deposit so just £42 left for me to pay in march...
DD ordered some GHD straighteners that were suppose to be delivered for us to collect on the 2nd, they didn't arrive so the Company sent out a replacement.. They have both now arrived to be collected and I sent a cheeky message to the Company suggesting we keep both due to the inconvenience.. and they agreed....:T:T New straighteners for me too.. RESULT...
Off to the office shortly and then will go and pick up the parcels..

Morning..
So I have collected 2 sets of ghd's for the bargain price of £38.50 each...:D:D:D
I appear to have run out of cash early this week so will be scrabbling around today as I don't get my cash from OH until tomorrow... and I need to pay for some parking.. may need to raid one of my glass jar pots.. although I do have money in the bank I just don't like using it....:rotfl:
Checked my Noddle as it was updated yesterday.. All my debts should fall off my credit file by 2022 at the latest.. I am currently waiting for results from my complaint about Lowells.. they are marking me late payment but debt should have defaulted before being sold to them.... and the other complaint about N*twest not updating.. well this record has disappeared completely.... can only hope the debt does too... :rotfl: Downside it is the smallest...
Roll on payday.. 18 days.. I want to pay some debts and do some more saving.....
Still not got going on the healthy eating/exercise stuff.. same as last year .. I expect I will start in February.. and stop in March..:rotfl: No Puzz needs to lose some lbs this year... and definitely before my break with LM (lovely Mother) at the end of March...
That's about it for hump day...

I saw a woman on BBC Breakfast this morning plugging her book about not spending anything for a year and how life is better for it! Obviously she still paid mortgage, utilities etc but zilch on anything else. Obviously she had to eat but she cut her grocery budget to the bone and spent nothing on luxuries or even toiletries. This made me smile as it's how a lot of us, especially on DMPs, have to manage year in year out;)
The writer lives in London and said she cycles everywhere (no car costs) and has access to loads of free museums, galleries and exhibitions so lots of free entertainment. I wonder how well she'd have coped living miles 'out in the sticks' like me:rotfl:. Obviously car costs here are an essential and the only free entertainment (other than what I do already) would be watching the grass grow:eek:
I'd be tempted to read her book though, I'm a sucker for that sort of thing even though reading these accounts makes me so angry and envious somehow:o) but it's £12.99 on Amazon so would hardly get a challenge of 'spending nothing' off to a very good start:(0 -
