Sorry to hear about your cats being upset. There's a massive black and white cat that comes round here and terrorises my cat:eek:. I've asked everyone I can think of but nobody owns it or knows who does so I suspect it's a feral Tom from one of the local farms. It looks too well fed and fat for a feral cat though, most of them are pretty scrawny. Plus, it doesn't come round looking for food, only to fight:mad:. My poor boy stands his ground with him but comes off worse if the interloper pounces on him. He seems a bit out of sorts at the moment, not eating much and not liking being touched in some areas:eek:. It must be a dog's life being a cat IYKWIM

On the good news front (no, better than good, it's brilliant news :j:j:j) OH is going away for a week at the beginning of April. My joy at this news is boundless. I always envy you when you write that your DH has gone away for a while and you have the house to yourself (although I know you miss DD). I crave being here on my own for just a few days, no grumbling and being an all-round pain (him not me:rotfl:). Am such a sad act that I'm crossing off the days in my diary:rotfl:

Well done on getting your savings pots topped up:T. Sounds as if you've got this self-managed lark well and truly sussed. Early days for me but I'm working on it;)

    Enjoy your afternoon off:beer:

Monday again...:( and dd's gone back to uni...:( But she has already rung this morning full of beans as she had an early start and had 45 minutes to kill before her lecture as she left early so she could find the building...:D

I am on a course in London Thurs/Fri.. trying to be brave and not think about the travelling too much.. I will be meeting a colleague once they have decided which station they are going in to....

Weekend was a blur of getting dd ready, washing, ironing etc. etc.. and shopping of course.. made a little dent in what would have been some pot money but needs must...!!

Getting organised for a busy work day today...Will be out and about from late morning until late afternoon....

No money news, can't do potting until after dmp goes out on 3rd so will be a job for next weekend...

Must sort my FOS complaint.... job for later hopefully..

    Happy Hump Day..

These weeks are flying past again.. hello February...:D

Not a lot to report.. dd not settled back and is coming home for the weekend.. lovely to see her of course but I so wish the uni experience was different for her...:(

I have finally submitted my complaint online to the FOS about my non defaulted debt.. if I don't win then this will be the one I hope to tackle first when I have saved up enough for p & f's...

New year for me starts today.. ish.. well I hope to be able to report that I have been on the treadmill later.. I am trying to achieve something every day in the house, albeit bin clearing, throwing something random away, tidying something up .. etc.. will see how we get on this year...!

Off to the office for the afternoon shortly.. nothing else really to report...

Sorry to hear that DD is not finding Uni life very satisfying and happy. Early days though, she might start to love it once this miserable weather goes away and everything looks more cheerful. Although I absolutely loved my student life from day 1 I do remember an overwhelming feeling of always being cold during that first winter:eek:. It was always so lovely and warm at home:j

Otherwise, all is looking good Puzz-wise:beer:. Your self-management really suits you. I was looking at a cheap treadmill online a week ago and then I wondered whether an exercise bike might be more useful (I get plenty of walking opportunities anyway). By the time I'd pretty much decided the offer had only gone and ended:mad:. I'm so unused to spending money on anything but essentials these days:o

I could have afforded it too, seeing as this month, my first on my self-managed DMP, I have a whopping £680 in my account because none of my creditors are getting a single penny:j:j:j. It's meant to be my emergency cushion so I really don't want to spend it unless I have to. I doubt an exercise bike counts as an emergency purchase:rotfl:. I'll be paying my creditors from March 1st ( I only dare take one month's payment holiday, wimp that I am:o) although at a slightly lower rate than I was with SC. That will give me a 'spare' £50 every month so I can treat myself occasionally:dance:. After almost 4 years on a DMP I could certainly do with a small treat or two;)

Monday again.. and feeling quite flat today... need to buck up my ideas.... come on puzz...

So dd was home for the weekend and had an epic journey back on the train.. apparently it was all my fault that her card wouldn't work on the ticket machine and that she needed the loo...:rotfl: She had forgotten about the blame game by the time she reached her second to last stop as she had been sat next to a handsome boy on the journey.. not that they spoke... its the little things...!

Felt most unwell on Saturday, think I'm still fighting off this virus/bug thing that everyone appears to have had but my immune system is obviously so good it keeps coming and going... I also suffered a strange symptom on Saturday am and again this morning when I had zig zags in my eyes.. for about 20 minutes each time.. good old google offered me silent migranes.. umm maybe.. I shall monitor...

Have bitten the bullet and booked the hairdressers for tomorrow afternoon.. hate going but hair is driving me mad and I am off out with my girls next Saturday so it needs doing..have booked 1/2 days leave so will have a browse round the shops after.. still got my gift cards to spend....

This leaves me with 5 and a half days leave for the leave year which ends on 28th Feb, I will carry 5 over to cover my time off with lovely mother in March and have another half day later in the month..

Off to the office (full of germs) this afternoon.... and must get on the treadmill again as only managed it twice last week.. although that was twice more than the previous 6 months...:rotfl:

    Money News..

I received 7 yes.. 7 letters from Natw*st on Friday morning.. informing me that my other 2 debts with them (1 I have a complaint ongoing..) are now being managed by wesc*t... 7 I dont' have 7 accounts.. turns out I do.. they are 5 old saving accounts which they can't close whilst I owe them money.. odd... I said ok, any money in them he said 2p... but they have taken it off my debt.. right of offset I quoted, he nearly fell off his chair..:rotfl:

No other news all just ticking along.. oh I was invited to a big birthday weekend away... would cost me £600 if I chose to go.. not this time.. puzz needs her cash...

    Happy Monday All..
