This is really disappointing that it appears both Solicitors should have picked this up.

I would be asking for someone to take responsibility as stress you had yesterday could and should have been avoided.

Imagine if this was a chain sale, could have been a disaster.

to be honest, i highlighted this problem since receiving the mortgage offer at least 7-8 times and i was told it has been taken care of

well they haven't told me its bcoz of that yet :-) . All i have being told since yesterday that "bank is checking on vendors Sol"

Making an error is bad, making the same error when highlighted is worse and lying about it is worst of all.

This may not be the case, but not looking good for the sols here. and surprised your broker could not find out the information you have found for yourself.

Seems like you have a dream team around you??

Well, lets just say even Bro decided to lie about the same, at the end of the day, SOL was referred by him

I completely understand SOL,Bro they all deal with this kind of cases day in out so its not new...but for a FTB its a dream, years of hard work .. you know i have a small business and everytime there is a customer query i deal/get excited same way as my customer would bcoz i know it could be their first time

thats bcoz am in it not just for money but i like my work as well....

    Hi Dave

Called again, and response i got now..

"our team is still doing third party checks, once thats resolved they would respond asap"

so now that highlights a bit more like what i heard yesterday , that there were doing checks on vendor's Sol.

This is really sounding strange to me

I think you have to be more forceful with Solicitor and/or Mortgage Broker.

I am speculating based upon experience, although to be honest never had anything like this..

If this is not done by 2pm, cannot see it being done today - I may be wrong, just my opinion..

I cannot believe the Solicitor is not calling you hourly with updates.
