Unlikely.
Increased SDLT rate comes into force ast £250,001.
And the lender isn't concerned with SDLT really, either.0 -
yes
but am just thinking for their paperwork things should have matched
this could be the only reason, well we are out of house already since 12 days , so will have to wait and watch tomorrow what happens
as SOL and Broker both dint feel like answering my calls after 50 -
Interested how this pans out, the difference in amounts could be a contributing factor although this should have absolutely been picked up prior to getting to yesterday.
Do not accept any fob offs today..

Hi Dave,
if it turns out that it was due to the small amount diff, can that be sorted in a day through the bank ?0 -

Pretty much anything can be sorted within the day with the right people doing the right things promptly.
If this is the case, I would be pushing and asking the question about whose responsibility this is.
If it is not something sinister, then I suggest someone has made an error if not both sols.I am a Mortgage Broker

I havent been able to speak to SOL or broker yet , so i called bank myself and spoke to 2 ppl who confirmed it was returned to a team due to the £5 diff and he can see updated price details given by SOL at 3PM
so he said it should be reviewed hopefully before 12 as they can see completion was set for yesterday 0 -
This is really disappointing that it appears both Solicitors should have picked this up.
I would be asking for someone to take responsibility as stress you had yesterday could and should have been avoided.
Imagine if this was a chain sale, could have been a disaster.I am a Mortgage Broker
