    Hi,

can anyone shed some light. I am due to complete today. I just called my SOl and they said usually funds arrive a day before which should have been fri/sat, but havent arrived until now. upon calling bank said they are doing general SOL checks before releasing funds

is there anything i need to be worried about ?

i have never come across any threads with such a situation

    thx
  • Mortgage drawdowns can happen all day, though in reality, they tend to be in the morning, as they know people want to complete. Suggest either you or your broker phone the bank if you are still concerned

don't worry Halifax can do same day ones, they do have upto close of business though
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I appreciate this can be stressful and whilst this forum can be great, it also allows to much detail to those not in the industry.

If this is set for completion today and your Solicitor has confirmed this, then it is highly likely to complete this afternoon.

It could be your Solicitor just uses this answer as his get out of jail as not looking at your case and wants you off the phone.

Halifax are one of the better lenders at release of funds.

Relax - it will all happen very quickly when it does.

Just following on from Dave's point, it is the vendor's solicitor who confirms completion, not the purchaser's, so finding out your solicitor has sent the purchase money does not mean the keys are yours.

The selling agent has to await the call from the vendor's solicitor to confirm receipt of funds and key release authorisation.
