rosyq thank you for the 5:2 info.
Bit of a dull day here. Towels & bedding need washing. DD still annoying me - she will make her hot choc but not my coffee. Then expects me to cook for both of us. Well 2 can play at that game missy... you cook yours, incl clearing up, & I'll cook mine.
We are almost out of butter. In the next hour or so she will announce 'we need more butter'. What I want to hear is 'we're out of butter, can I have ££ & I'll pop to the shops'. If this scenario hasn't played out by 2pm I will eat my hat

Hi all
Just sat down. Done a few hhgardening - lawn done, apple tree hacked, seedlings planted into veg "plot". Also washed the sofa throws so they are out on whirligig too. Need to go put mower away and all the other bits and bobs.
Kiddies shared an apple we found on tree whilst pruning, its all gone so must be ok!
Just made lunch - after my lovely soup yesterday at the sports centre, I've made smoky chorizo and bean soup. I used canned beans as a cheat, and they are not as soft - and my "sauce" is runnier (I can fix that!) but its a really good flavour. My uncultured children are having chicken and noodles(finger food). I'm having the soup / stew with half a baguette from the oven omnomnom
Have stripped kids beds so we'll head upstairs under the pretence of bed making and hopefully persuade them to sleep. We've had a bit of the grumps this morning. Pretty full-on week all round.
Right, back to my soup... MmmmBossymoo

Lovely jumper pigpen!
I was sitting in the living room last night when there was a knock at the back door. I opened it and was delighted to see DD2's b/f there - he'd come back from Uni to surprise her, knowing how upset she is about my mum and everything else. Hi train was delayed, so he had to walk the last leg of the journey (station to our house.)
DD2 was delighted, in fact it put a smile on everyone's face after a particularly pants week
He's gone to meet some mates now, but DD2 is still smiling!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
well i have done nothing much. I am a bit poorly (dodgy head long term medical problem) but the house is still in really good condition am well chuffed.
Oh is in the kitchen making cakes with the children. Then i will make some lunch and the washing machine has just finished so am going to pop that on the line.
wow pigpen that is lush, looks cosy and warm.0 -
believe you me I am in awe of the regular reception teacher...and as for those of my colleagues who deal with the major issues...utter respect. I think a certain M. Gove and his minions should be getting into a variety of schools and seeing just what is routine for so many of my colleagues.
We've often said he should come to our class and we'll leave him for an hour (without the TAs as he doesn't seem to think we need them!). See how he copes with 7 autistic boys (one of whom is oxygen dependent and one with serious behaviours), plus 2 others with genetic conditions resulting in physical and learning difficulties
Mind you, I wouldn't want to have to deal with the state of the children and my classroom afterwards!!
Anyway, I've done my shopping and it's all put away; fridge was sorted and cleaned beforehand; one load of washing done; mother phoned and a 60 in 60 done.HHC 1:00 - 1:30Anyone want to join me?"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
